I have always enjoyed listening to and making music.

  • @kathym  Mar 8

I'm still catching up on sending thank you notes for your having stopped by my song "When it Snows". I am so touched by the support and comments this song has gotten. I played this at a zoom open mic even though it's not quite polished and it was well received. I will be back in touch if I get the demo up in case anyone is around to listen. Your time and support mean so much to me and I really appreciate your having taken time for me, Chris!

  • @grenzgaengerin Mar 2

Thanks a lot for comment - have a nice year <3

  • @kristian  Mar 1

cheers! "who am I to give you advice"? I totally respect and value your opinion so I'll def give it a go! thanks a bunch; still need to check out your remaining songs but thank you so much for the support this FAWM!

  • @ryuu  Feb 28

hey, thanks for the note on my soundboard and congratulations to "winning"!

  • @meadows  Feb 26

Hey there! Congrats to 14 songs! That's really amazing and an impressive journey so far. I know you already reached the FAWM goal, but I was wondering if you're still open for a collab. I'd really like to give a 80s Synthpop beauty a try. What do you think?

  • @cts  Feb 24

Congrats on making it to 14! I hope you had an awesome experience with FAWM. I shall be back to give your tunes a listen!

  • @engebretsen  Feb 23

Hi and thx again! You are really following and doing so lot of comments. It means a great to me, and is so much appreciated. TXH!

  • @nadine Feb 22

  • @aeye Feb 22

Vocals can be tricky but generally when I mix them in I’ll cut out low frequencies that aren’t needed, and focus on the bits that can be heard. I’ll also give it a little compression to help. Not sure if that helps at all lol. (I also tend to use excessive reverb and delay lol)

  • @sciren  Feb 22

Hey, thank you SO much for taking the time to listen to my concept album. Your feedback has totally made my day! I hope I get the courage to revisit it someday ater FAWM and finish it. It definitely helps knowing that people enjoy it. 🙂

  • @kahlo2013 Feb 21

Well, I tried hard to morph your song for chain 6 but your music is so totally awesome making it really impossible for me, a lyricist and very untrained and unpolished musician to follow. I tried though! If you want I can add you as a collaborator as I kept many of your words but I was not sure you would want that. Just let me know! Liz

  • @nadine Feb 20

Danke für deine Kommentare zu meinen Songs! Freut mich dass sie dir gefallen 😀
"Fight for you" wird definitiv fertig gestellt.

  • @gardeningangel1  Feb 19

Thank you for the comparison to "Jesus He Knows Me", I don't know how I'd never heard that song before but definitely needed it in my life!

  • @grenzgaengerin Feb 19

  • @pipewrench67  Feb 19

Thanks for the comments on Empty Lake, there is reverb on there but it's mostly buried, it's a one mic recording with a second guitar slapped on it. so most of the song (clean guitar and vocals are on the same track).

  • @chaotrick Feb 17

Hello! Thank you for your comment on "Inner Fire"! To answer your question - yes, the drums are programmed. I'm really glad you were able to notice and appreciate this layer, since I tend to pay a lot of attention to the rhythm elements in my tracks.

  • @scubed  Feb 16

Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my skirmish song!

  • @bithprod Feb 16

I wrote something cheesy, fluffy and self-deprecating, but I'm not quite sure it fits the bill. I'm working on a couple more lyrics so you'll have a few to pick and choose from. Where can I send them to?

  • @bithprod Feb 15

Either way is fine by me. 😀 If you've got a track or band you like (for reference), I can try to write something similar. And I'll try my best not to be ironic about it. 😉 Are you thinking something "large and hairy", musically speaking, but with a more modern vibe to it?

  • @bithprod Feb 15

Hi! Up for our random collab? How about an 80's power ballad? 😉 On an unrelated note, I love your art!

  • @splittybooms  Feb 15

Hey thanks for always stopping by on my songs, I appreciate it!
Yeah...I know the synthvox isn't for everyone. I started using years ago because I needed vocals and had no one in real life I could go to, found this and it was free, and it was pretty easy to use. I think its just grown on me, honestly. Like an old friend lol
will be getting around to some more of your stuff soon.

  • @heuristicsinc  Feb 14

Thanks for the feedback on my song... it's a synth with formant, I think... it's definitely not a voiceguitar, I can't play guitar to save my life 😀

  • @frankyfire Feb 13

@chroes No, I actually have no clue how to make or mix good drums. But I'm using MT Power Drumkit (thats free) and it sounds pretty decent out of the box.

The only other thing I know about drumming is, that drummers usually try to count the beats with their lead hand on the cymbals and I try to mimic that somehow. And always combine the guitarists Palm mute with the bass drum, that makes it sound thick.

  • @meadows  Feb 13

Hey! 😀 Thank you again for your feedback on "Sleepless". The bass is a Plugin in Reason "Reason Electric Bass" (a Rackextension, no VST).

    Cheers, Jens.

  • @grenzgaengerin Feb 13

Amazing - thank you very much for your lovely comments on my songs <3 (in "Troll-Trap" it's a tenor horn / tuba, but that doesn't matter 😉 )
    Heartly thanks to you

  • @aeye Feb 13

Thanks!! We’ll be posting it to bandcamp and probably spotify etc as well. 😀.Glad you enjoyed it!

  • @brauer Feb 11

    Appreciate the feedback dear 😀

  • @gardeningangel1  Feb 11

Another NaNo & Inktober-er! I'd love to see your artwork. Cheers to being strange!

  • @meadows  Feb 11

Thank you very much for you kind comments on my songs. 😀 Much appreciated!

  • @reklov  Feb 11

Hey, danke für "DO RE MI"!

  • @grenzgaengerin Feb 10

Nein, danke Dir für Deine Kommentare Du schenkst mir damit viel Gefühl - Danke <3

  • @shintai  Feb 10

Thanks for the comment on the song of storms and your kind words 😀 It's like you said, with a daw you have all the possibilities for mixing and mastering right at your fingertips. You could even create a whole new sound layer on top of everything. It's not easy to restrain yourself with that. But thats the nice thing about fawm, you are kinda forced to make some restrictions for the sake of creativity.

  • @reklov  Feb 9

    Hi!

    Viele Grüße,
    Volker

  • @ladyred Feb 8

    Hey there!
Thanks for your comments on 'Worthy," but I'm not really looking to collab right now.

  • @wacha  Feb 8

Thank you for the kind words on " Right Inside Our Door".

  • @beat  Feb 8

Hey Chris, danke fürs zuhören und kommentieren. Sehr nett.

  • @shintai  Feb 7

Thanks for your kind comment on Sky and Clouds. Have a great weekend! 😀

  • @headfirstonly  Feb 7

Thanks - all the guitars are me playing a real instrument. Parker Fly Mojo MIDI (my fave guitar) into a bunch of effects, then DI'd into the mixer.

  • @yam655  Feb 6

You wasted no time catching up! Nicely done! 😀

  • @nadine Feb 4

Thanks for your comment on my song. I used RealStrat with an amp simulator. Maybe there will be a collaboration to finish this song with real instruments.

  • @evolvemysound  Feb 4

Thanks for the feedback on my latest song! I am still working on distortion as it pertains to my (bass) drums. Hopefully, I get that ironed out! Thanks again!

  • @gardeningangel1  Feb 4

Hi, thanks for the listen! Those are doubled vocals with a reverb effect slapped on with the Bandlab app.
Glad that you're here, looking forward to hearing more of your songs! 😀

  • @engebretsen  Feb 4

Thx again for comments! "Indeed" Much appreciated!

  • @xfloorpunchx  Feb 4

Can't wait to hear more of your songs !

  • @ampersandman  Feb 3

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome und viel Spaß!

  • @willyviste Feb 3

Thank you for your comment, glad someone liked it:)

  • @engebretsen  Feb 3

Thx a lot for comments on "Consciousness". Much appreciated!

  • @grenzgaengerin Feb 3

Thank you very much for comment

    @irka Oh super, danke dir!
