Influences: First one I remember...Sly and the Family Stone Since then, in no particular order...David Byrne, Prokofiev, Adrian Belew, Devo, Todd Rundgren, Keith Jarrett, Carlos Santana, Bjork, Jaco Pastorius, The Clash, David Holsinger, Thelonious Monk, Ravel, George Clinton, Jean-Luc Ponty, Miles Davis, Bill Chase, Portishead, Chick Corea, Mitch Murder, Com Truise, Ulrich Schnauss, Tycho, Steve Reich Those are probably the most significant and the most obvious in my music.
Yep, I am here in 2019 and it looks like might not have to travel in February this year...at least not as much as the last couple of years. This means being able to work in the studio instead on a desk in a hotel somewhere. Yay!
Michael Michalski, a.k.a. Chasing Andromeda here. I write...um....well, I am never quite sure what is going to come out of my head. If I hear it, I write it. It usually has synths in it and it often has quite a few layers to it. But it might not have either.
Enjoy and have a great February!

Some synthesizers will be heard...or not.
Along with the usual array of soft synths and effects, I have added a bunch of hardware over the last couple of years and it all wants to be used.
Takemine Electro-Acoustic Guitar
Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Strat
Hofner Ignition Club Bass
Nord Lead A1r
Behringer Deepmind 12
Novation Bass Station II
Strymon Volante Echo Machine
Elektron Analog Heat
Lots of sample libraries (orchestral and unusual)
Lots of hand percussion, bongos, etc.
All just waiting to be used. Hit me up!
Have a great month and thanks for visiting!
No worries; a few hectic days ahead ☹️
Well spotted, it was an Aligator on that track!
Wherever the muse takes you 😀
I think you mean The Artist Formerly Known as Alive
Haven’t got anything yet 😀 late to the party!
we are doing a thing right?
Thanks for your kind words on Forgiveness. It was a heavy subject and I really tried to capture a sense of humilty.
See You In The Shadows…
Thanks Michael, glad you liked it! The volume pedal is just a cheap Donner viper mini (passive), the travel on it isn't great and it took me a while to get used to it with it being very small, but for now it does the job. I'd like to get a little alligator eventually. As for the tone, it's strange isn't it? I was only running it through a compressor, delay and verb, nothing special but yet it has this lovely tone on the lower strings..I realised only yesterday there's protective clear tape covering all the pickups, which I removed now..not sure if that was having any effect.
Thanks for your kind comment on my Janis tribute song. The muse said write, so I writ. 😀
I replied to your comment, but only if you read it...
I feel a building sense of euphoria and giddiness in antici...........pation. 😉
Thank you so much for your lovely comment earlier. Too kind!
Hey Michael. I'm happy to see you here again. I'm looking forward to hearing some of your ear candy.
I too am a big fan of synthwave (and chiptunes/Amiga-tracker .mods), and I also have a Banjo Ukulele, so I’m following you for sure.
Love your first track!
Thanks for the greetings! Have a great February!
Back for at least one more track. Look forward to hearing from you 😀
Yes. So much yes
Thanks man, likewise 😀
Happy FAWMing in 2019!
See You In The Shadows…
you too! Thanks
I'm glad to see you're back again. I'm excited about FAWM ,even though I'm not sure what the heck I'm doing yet.
I'm here! Whether I'm "in full force" is somewhat dependent on other things, but I'll hopefully bash out at least a few. Looking forward to reacquainting my ears with your sounds! 😀
I'll swap you a Debenham fix for a Michalski fix.
Heyy thanks for the kind words. There's never enough synthwave in the world so looking forward to your contribution to the greatest music style the world has yet seen. 😀
There will be shadows. As always, I am looking forward to your offerings this year.
See You In The Shadows…
Hey there! I checked out your audio jungle stuff. Nice!
Thank you Michael.
Yeah, hoping for more productivity this year. Hope you have a good one too. 😀
HEY! HO! LET'S GO! Good to see you around.
And also to you! One of my longest FAWMers I’ve stalked... would love to collaborate with you if your dance card isn’t full, pun intended. 😉
Let's go... Can't wait to hear you!
How's your dance card looking, Mr Andromeda?
Hi Mike, good to hear from you. Have a great February.
Let's do this, Mike. It's time. Well, it's not - yet.
