Artist Bio

Influences:   Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Billy Joel, Elton John, Marc Cohn, Jason Isbell, Tom Petty, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Queen, Journey, U2, Yes.

I've been writing songs since 1973 and recording since 1986, currently with Delta Twins (

I try to pen honest, insightful, personal songs blend classic rock, folk, pop, and blues with a modern twist.

This is my 11th FAWM - the last ten I completed early. I entered this month with no energy to write, but who knows.

BTW, I usually have a meter/cadence in mind as I write these, and often times a melody as well (that I tend to remember in my head even if I never write it down or record it).

I'll make demos as I have time, but no promises. These days my demos are simply playing live (usually one take rife with mistakes) into my iPhone using the N-Track Studio app or maybe messing with GarageBand. Add a touch of reverb and voila... I have something to kinda remember what I was thinking when I wrote it, even if it's a bit pitchy and I play some wrong chords. πŸ˜‰

πŸ˜€ it's a small world. A NAF is a "Native American Flute", which I try to work in on my tracks. I just like playing them. There are some good builders who work from home and don't charge more than I can pay, - some are very expensive. There is one company that builds precision machined ones of incredible "quality" and tone, very expensive; however, the handmade ones have a certain feel, tone as well.

Anyway, no one needs yet another hobby πŸ˜€

For some reason I "wondered" that. And, anyway, - found some good stuff, other of yours to hear!

@bobskyyoung thanks! And congrats to you as well! Gonna take a listen to yours and so many others soon as I can, hate that i haven’t had more time to just listen; so much creative fire here. I still have a couple in the works hoping to get them up tonight or tomorrow morning cuz *why not*?!

I'm more curious than is good for me sometimes πŸ˜€ And appologise in advance:
So, I like what you had up on SoundCloud. Listened to FAWM2018, some '19. And not that it matters, but will explain after the question, -- you Native American? And if are, do you make NAF's? If so, I may have one of yours πŸ˜€ I didn't always keep track.

Anyway, -- great demos up there; just say'in, just say'in.

I got bored and pressed for time - end of FAWM; so went to write-direct-in into the song form, - writes from news feeds. Actually though, I tend to comment and listen *more, when have less time since quick one-shots, not make a track.

    Great stuff!
