Oh, and you asked what the five thumps are at the end of my piece Discord in the Boardroom. I didn't want to say in my liner notes 'cause I wanted to see if it was obvious enough, but guess not. No one so far has guessed it. It was the closest sound I could get, from Sibelius, to simulate the chairperson of the meeting rapping his/her gavel, as if to say "Enough! Meeting adjourned" Lol At least, that's what I was going for.
I was hoping the back and forth between trumpet and violin would sound like a discussion growing more and more heated till they're talking over one other. neither feeling they're being heard. Unfortunately, my husband has had the misfortune to attend a few meetings that went that way. He told me near the end of the piece, he pictures the violin voice shaking her finger at the trumpet voice. Lol It was a lot of fun creating this one, but it seems to paint different pictures in different people's minds. Gun shots is a good guess though Bill. I enjoyed reading that

Got one more in the chamber, Bill. But I'm happy Into The Sun made you dance.
You enjoy your day there, bud!

Hiya Bill! Shoot, I'm falling behind on listening and commenting. I see you're at 13 already, nearly time to call you up to the Winner's Podium and send you and Doreen on a well deserved trip.
When you said Upside Down In Love smacked a bit of Chris Isaak I thought; Oh NO! did I subconsciously (or unconsciously, more like it 😀 ) plagerize Wicked Game? Gotta say, it's close... But being the positiv guy I am (hahem) I also took it as a compliment, because there isn't much the guy did, that I don't like.
Funny how a different set of headphones would make difference in a vocal coming out or sound muffled. Must be the electric guitar masking the frequencies. My mastering set is out of operation at the moment and all I have to mix on are my reference speakers and yes, a set of headphones. Glad you like the song anyway!

Hey Bill, don't worry about me. Lullaby is probably the last of the ballads for this album. Check today's. There's more guitars where that came from.

Thanks so much for the lovely comment on my song Earthrise. I think I too can see that child blowing that dandelion. How wonderful that my song brought that image to you. Thank you for sharing it. I'm so grateful. 😀

Hahaha, guess I'm full of surprises? Thanks for the encouragement on In Old Napoli and Friday Night, Bill. Only a couple more to go.

Hello Bill! I really enjoyed listening to your songs. "Sunny Day" made my day and I put it on the recommend song list thread in the forum. Have a great day!

Thanks Bill! I promised myself 14 rocksongs, not sure if I'll deliver, but when a tune like Never Been needs out... it needs out. Skid Row was fun to write and more fun to record. Although I have to say I had a lot of trouble getting the drums and bass to get in line and still haven't really. Ah well, there's always March and April to edit and remix and edit some more and re-remix and rinse and repeat and...

Thanks for the kind words Bill on my song Something Wicked this Way Comes. I'm getting a kick out of reading, in the comments, the images it conjures up for different people. I'm thankful you listened to it, and I'm glad you liked it.
