Thanks Bill for the comments on "If I Forget You" and for all the music! Looking forward to hearing you next year as well!

Great to listen to your songs Bill. See you next year!

Thanks for listening to Amanda Brook & Little Joe! I'm glad the story in the verses (based on a true encounter from about 10 years or so ago) came through clearly.

Thanks for all the encouragement, Bill. You’re a diamond!

Thanks for commenting on "Dann gibt es nuir eins". Borchert's original was much more explicit in saying that everyone around the world had to do this. For instance the original calls on "Mother in Normandy and mother in the Ukraine, mother in Vancouver and in London, you on the Hwangho and on the Mississippi, you in Naples and Hamburg and Cairo and Oslo - mothers in all parts of the earth, mothers of the world," And yes, all of us around the world would need to say no.
If Borchert had lived past 1947 he would have been venerated by the counterculture in the same way Hermann Hesse was, and a major influence on people like Buffy Sainte-Marie, But then I think much of the power and urgency of his work came from his knowledge that he didn't have much time.

You’re right Bill, that sixstringer has a jagged edge. And he drank all my beer when my back was turned.

  • @monty  Feb 23

Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment on my collab with Kristi and congrats on a successful FAWM.

  • @dutch1967 Feb 21

Glad you like my take on She’s A Meteor! Is it anything like you expected?

Also congrats on hitting 14! More than a week to spare, will you write a few more or are there other chores waiting?

  • @rwc Feb 20

Thanks for your comments on my song 'Out of Nowhere'.

  • @spinhead Feb 20

It's fun combining the challenges and still turning out a usable song. Couple years ago, I wrapped the year with a 4-challenge song. That, though, was a bit of a stretch musically and not likely to be performed 😉

So you're here in the valley too, eh? Not a big FAWM contingent, and we're spread out. I'm in San Tan Valley, across the county line from Queen Creek. @mishykatz is out your way, I think.

  • @aneil Feb 19

Thx for your comment with my collab with @dutch1967
Really happy with this song! Demo is on:

  • @spinhead Feb 16

Thanks for the comment on Dark of Night. Love doing those simple tunes.

  • @ceilidh  Feb 14

Thanks for your feedback on By Candlelight! The nursery rhyme challenge was fun, and I'm having even more fun listening to some of the other songs that came out of it!

  • @scottsimpsonmusic  Feb 13

Thanks so much for the generous comments. Much appreciated!

  • @mariekevinkmusic  Feb 12

Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging comments!

  • @dutch1967 Feb 11

I know, Bill... and I’m dogtired every night.

  • @dutch1967 Feb 10

What I'm saying Bill, is if you got a good story, nobody notices the guitarplaying. Can't wait to hear your #8
Though it will have to wait till after dinner.

  • @dutch1967 Feb 9

    Thanks Bill, I’ll keep safe.
And thanks for the comment on Running Around In My Head. I’ll try it out on next month’s Open Mic for my Songwriter Cirkle

  • @dutch1967 Feb 2020

Hahahaha, Blues Man... thanks Bill, glad you liked Falling Asleep At Wheel.

  • @audrey  Feb 2020

Hi Bill. Thanks so much for the kind words on my song Caring Neighbours. Much appreciated.

  • @feralrabbit Feb 2020

Thanks for your comment on “In the Land of Oz”. You taught me the word prosody! Never knew that was what that was called. 😄

  • @dutch1967 Feb 2020

Hey Bill, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, a little polishing here and there and a couple other places is needed before either song goes out into the world. I'll have plenty time in March to get out the old buffer and make the songs I think need and deserve it a deep shine.

  • @crimulus Feb 2020

Thanks for the note Bill 😀

I really wanted to do it, but it just was too much. It was a pretty big relief when I finally accepted that it was OK to skip a year. I should be poking around listening some.

  • @dutch1967 Feb 2020

Have at it, Bill! Maybe this year we can convince J to join as well?
