sent music snippet now as well

  • @tsunamidaily  Feb 23

sent lyrics to you for LFC-2, part 3, to your email.

  • @splittybooms  Feb 20

At work currently, will send this evening.
And I'm just using various sounds from different vsts and stuff in Reason.

  • @splittybooms  Feb 20

Well I've got some sounds that will work for synth stuff, and I actually tried to replicate the intro drums to take on me - both sounds and pattern. Its just an 8 bar loop for the drums right now, but I could send it to you to see if you want to use that as our base drum pattern?

  • @splittybooms  Feb 18

Ok cool, I'll work on Take On Me.
So you want me to try to reproduce the sounds they've used in that tune, and then we'll use them in our own song? Just want to make sure I'm understanding, because this'll be the main thing I work on this week.

  • @splittybooms  Feb 17

Take On Me is in my daily rotation, but I'm not familiar with the other track. I'll take a listen.
    This does sound like fun.
I did a...."cover" of Take On Me way back, very generic as I was doing it just to learn the song, and its sat on my PC since. It was just chorus, unfortunately, and not the iconic synth riff. So I think I can help with the cherry picking, especially with that song.
As far as making something new from our basket of cherries, how do you prefer to approach it? With you being the song-writer and vocalist, I'd be more comfortable with you taking the lead and just telling me what you need from me. But of course, I'm cool with whatever! Like you said, for fun!

  • @tamsnumber4  Feb 17

Thanks for commenting on my song "Insecure", I appreciate the listen!

  • @splittybooms  Feb 17

    That's a great idea.
However, my old school listening was mostly in the r&b, funk, and electro (house, freestyle, etc).
I've TRIED to emulate some 80s rock with varying success.
What would you like my contribution to be?
I can tell you up front, I'm not a lyricist nor singer. So those two are all yours! πŸ˜€

  • @splittybooms  Feb 16

Acutally, you've sparked me to ask some folks for some stuff. Thanks lol

  • @splittybooms  Feb 16

Wow I appreciate your words, man.
I'm very shy when it comes to collabs because I don't wanna let down the other person haha....its a lot of pressure. But I am open to them if someone asks.
I can try to do whatever you have in mind if you come up with something. I've been struggling this year, honestly...and my 'ideas bank' has been low on funds lol
So yeah if you get an idea, let me know and I'll try my best to do whatever I can for you! I appreciate you reaching out to me πŸ˜€

  • @katmtl Feb 15

Thank you for the kind comments! I love your music! Sweet guitar works!❀️

  • @tjeff  Feb 12

Hi, thanks so much for listening & commenting! I appreciate it!

  • @nikke88 Feb 11

Thanks for commenting on "Supermarketin suloinen kassaneiti". There's no way I am going to tell her about this tune. πŸ˜€

Even though my Russian teacher appreciated that I have made a song with her name as a title, so it might be a good idea to tell about it. But it could lead into some serious consequences like going out with her, better not to risk it. I don't have that risk with my teacher, she lives abroad. πŸ‘

  • @aesthetic72  Feb 10

Oh I just noticed that you also picked up on the magic in @slawbleu β€˜s track, Sundazzle. I’m working on vox and lyrics too! I say we both turn our hand at it and then compare notes. Isn’t it an excellent track? It’s fair bursting with melody lines.

  • @aesthetic72  Feb 10

Thanks for the lovely comments on my track. At work right now but I’ll listen to your work this evening!

  • @kristian  Feb 10

hey! I'm thrilled that my comment made your day, but I assure you it's well-deserved! The beauty of FAWM is finding so many rich and great songs to listen too... I think the music here blows current contemporary radio away IMHO

Unfortunately, I'm all collabed out this FAWM.. been around for a bit so my trusty army of FAWMers that I work with means that my roster is full... but anything can happen! And hit me up at the start of next FAWM at least; would love to work with you (obviously)!

If you got a tune in mind, feel free to send it my way as I might have some spare time for all I know... kristiab<at>me.com ... have a great FAWM; you sure are nailing it!

  • @slawbleu  Feb 5

Thank you so much for the kind comment on "Sundazzle"! You hit the nail on the head -- Johnny Marr is my absolute hero when it comes to guitar!

  • @karlsburg25  Feb 5

  • @izaakalexander  Feb 5

Hey thanks for the comment, and welcome to the FAWM! Deadwood? What's the reference? (It's a big world and sometimes stuff just slips through the cracks πŸ˜€ ) I'll give one of your tunes a listen, just now.

  • @klaus  Jan 29

Hello there. Welcome to Fawm 2020. I took a listen and especially those acoustic demos sounded really nice with XTC circa English Settlement influences on some of the guitar chords. I hope you have a good time here. πŸ˜€
