Yayyy! We did it! You hadn't much time but you wrote some awesome stuff. It was indeed great to connect with you and @natalieedelson and @kimbeggs throughout this month. Thanks for all the encouragement and feedback. Can't wait to get busy doing some editing and fixin' up.

  • @alg123  Feb 26

Thank you for the encouragement on the latest! 🙏🏾🎶

Alo! Thanks for commenting on white paper dove- yasss it’s heading towards classic country- definitely out of my writing comfort zone with that one. in my attempt It was hard to differentiate what sits well in the pocket wrtiting-wise - vs over -the -top schlocky sentimentality . Interesting exercise .

@babs77 You and Tony in favour of axe. I will work with it. I was liking how 'hammer' alliterated with 'half-way handy'...Thanks for the constructive attention to my songs!

  • @alg123  Feb 16

@babs77 Yes! Of course. Re the hammer. I was so in the mode of old tropes (and also I suck at sewing so it seems a grand skill). Thank you! I'm working with hammer and wedge right now. Also I added a VIm at the end of the first lines - working better.

  • @alg123  Feb 13

@babs77 Me too! I'm loving it. I do find it hard to move on from something that I don't think is quite right or quite finished - usually my habit is to worry away at a song til I feel it's done. This is a different approach and I think it's helpful for keeping the dam broken.

@alg123 I'm really enjoying participating more fully in the fawm process this year! that was a good shit sandwich, right? And I know you'd have changed it - we're just churning 'em out here, edit later!

  • @alg123  Feb 12

Thanks for the great constructive feedback - I so appreciate it. I knew that rhyme was lazy but it was late...:)

  • @natalieedelson  Feb 10

Thanks for kudos on curating - that was a good palette cleansing experience ... back to banjer soon. Now I’m gonna listen to ya. xoxo

Hello Babs! I'm really enjoying listening to your songs, and I totally give you credit for being able to FAWM with twin 5 year olds! I just have one 2 year old and it's hard enough!

  • @alg123  Feb 6

HI Babs!!! Here we are! this year I wanna write more than one song only! Can't wait to hear more of your magic.

  • @natalieedelson  Feb 5

Alo! Thanks for your words Red dress came from FAWM weekly theme - clothing - was thinking at first about “red shoes” story -clothing having a will of its own and torturing the wearer - but then it kind of morphed into reaction to Bell “let’s talk” week 😝

  • @natalieedelson  Feb 4

Babs!!!!! Eeeeee this is gonna be fun. Can’t wait to hear you xoxoxo

  • @kimbeggs  Feb 3
