2020 - FAWM number 8

Didn't have a great haul of songs from last year's FAWN - it turned into more of an EP length warm-up for 50/90.

Never mind ... new year; new FAWM and we'll see what, if anything, the muse grants me this time.

02/02/2020 - First weekend over and I've got 4 songs on the board - that's very good going by my standards. Need to see what I can get done on weekday nights.

08/02/2020 - Looks like a superskirmish going on this weekend. Unless I participate I'll probably save posting anything written this weekend for Monday.

25/02/2019 - Got to the halfway point and thought I'd probably get to at least 10-12. Unfortunately, things have got a little busy and left me with little time to create anything. Hopefully, I'll manage to find time for one or two more before the end.

Thank you for the comment on my Post-FAWM Rocktober posting Accumulated Spectre. Yeah, I'm just playing around with Buzz with no real ideas of where I'm going sometimes. It's a lot of fun & I'm glad you enjoyed the track!

thank you for your comments on quarries oof the nrthern shore, you are correct about american gods, i got the idea for the song whie reading that book. pasolini came into when i remembered a video i made to the smiths song the boy with the thorn in his side (which reminded me of the artaud poem the little celestial poet with an icicle in hs throat) for which i used footage from pasolinis salo (the new gods and shit to the spirit, another artaud poem) and gospel according tp saint matthew (the old gods)

Thanks for checking out my 10x10! It was a little disconcerting to listen to some of those tracks and think only a crazy person would write music like that. I appreciate the encouragement to keep exploring the zany side of my creativity 😀

Hey! Nice to see you will be participating this year. Have an awesome FAWM!

  • @odilongreen  Jan 2020

Synth this year? Acoustic? Instrumental? Vocal? Some / all of the above? Whatever it is you ending up doing this FAWM, I'm looking forward to listening to it!

  • @ampersandman  Jan 2020

Interested what you think of it ... it's not at all like Vol. 9 & 10 and more song-oriented than ever. But the line-up is interesting. I like "If You Run" and "Something You Can't See", but that's just my taste.

Always glad to initiate an aural contaminant vector! Cool to see recognition for Belbury Poly, and the Goldfrapp stuck on you as well!

  • @zecoop  Jan 2020

Yep yep and yep. Let X=X has so many moments that I love. I have Walk the Dog on the United States Live CDs. What a trip that WHOLE thing is. 😀

  • @zecoop  Jan 2020

And... I had an O Superman clip (you know which part) as my answering machine message for years and years. My wife was actually worried about that because during that time I was looking for a job. She wondered how potential employers would react, lol 😁

  • @zecoop  Jan 2020

Let X=X is one of my all-time favorites... I've had that on CD forever (and the United States CDs), but just found the Big Science record this week. Cheap... since not that many people know how awesome it is. 😀
