I’m a writer, musician, and knitter who also happens to be queer, trans, and bipolar. Originally from Minneapolis, I’ve been in Chicago since 2012, where I live with my partner, who is also a knitter and musician.
I wrote songs and poetry in high school, and then stopped for a while. When I met my partner in 2010 he told me about the songwriting classes he'd taken at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, and after we moved down here I signed up as soon as I could afford it. I've been back at it since November of 2013 and have averaged about 20 songs a year since then. My goal for last year was to hit 40, and (thanks in LARGE part to FAWM) I managed 48!
I'd be hard-pressed to name a single genre I don't like at least *something* from. Most of what I write is folky, but I enjoy listening to everything from classical music to death metal.
2018 was my first FAWM, and I'm so happy to be back for a second go-round!
No songs by this fawmer (yet).
