In previous FAWM events, the community have generated a wealth of information about songwriting, demo recording techniques, CD production and promotion, etc. For the sixth annual FAWM in 2009, we decided to launch a Wiki so that some of this knowledge can be consolidated in one place for reference to all.

The content in this wiki is created by fawmers, for fawmers, so feel free to contribute!

Main areas of the wiki are:

• FAQ - This is the official “frequently asked questions” portion of the website, maintained by the FAWM admins and moderators.
• Demo Recording - Information about recording equipment, technique, software, audio plugins, etc.
• Songwriting Resources - Tips, tricks, and links to other resources.
• Events - Online and Regional gatherings of fawmers to collaborate, talk shop, and hang out.
• FAWM Culture - Over the past seven years, FAWM has acquired some cultural quirks and inside jokes. Here's a reference for newbies and casual fawmers.
