Songwriting Tools

Here are a few tools that FAWM.ORG has put together to help inspire and facilitate your creativity (when you're online). Bear in mind there's value in being offline (or at least logged out of things like email, Facebook/Twitter, and even FAWM) to help focus while you're writing.

Titular
Generates several (potentially awkward) song titles for you to interpret and write about. A good "jumping off" point when you are short on ideas. Part of The Muse suite of FAWM tools.

LyriCloud
Creates a "cloud" of semantically-related words which you can explore to spark creativity. Click on a word to get a new cloud, or type in a seed word of your own choosing. Part of The Muse suite of FAWM tools.

Struxxure
Generates song structures, good for coming up with out-of-the-box verse/chorus/bridge/etc. constructions. Part of The Muse suite of FAWM tools.

Plot Spline
Framing device to help you devise plot and setting constraints for your song. Is the narrator in first, second, or third person? Who is the audience? What is the scene? And so on. Part of The Muse suite of FAWM tools.
