This is another contribution towards my "1984" project. Near the end of the book, Orwell's character learns what lies within the dreaded "Room 101". This is a musical exposition on that room.
*NOTE* At the time of this writing, it is only about an hour until the end of FAWM for this year. I am not sure if I will have tracked all the parts by the end of our allowed time, so this is a placeholder for now, and I fully intend to finish this track, at least in an initial form, before I stop work this evening. In other words, check back later for a completed or listenable version of this. Words will likely be enhanced and revised as well.
Wherever you went, we followed
whatever you did, we saw it
whatever you said, we heard it
whatever you thought, we knew it (well)
your dreams were never yours
you travelled through our doors
we need obedient people
we'll get you there
There are things in this world
better left unseen,
there are things in your life
you shouldn't hear
there are things that will hurt you
you don't want to feel
Rest assured, Comrade
You'll find them all here.
Room 101 waits for you to come
Room 101 waits hates for you to go
Room 101 knows your deepest fear
Room 101 waits here for you, you know.
