that dreamy synth noise is actually the humble casio pt-30! never underestimate a casio.
I think you misspelt 'very' as 'vaguely' up there. Beautiful hazy mood. Particularly like the brief key change sections. Nice bass work holding it together too. Feels like something Morr Music would publish. Lazy saturday afternoon me wonders if you should lower some of the louder percussion in the mix, but other mes would probably disagree.
Gorgeous! Don't underestimate this song, is another thing to remember. Amazing layers, each distinct and perfectly matched. Love love love this song! 😀❤️😀
This is beautiful piece of music, there is a lot going on but nothing gets in the way of another part.
In spite of being well aware of your abilities and tastes I somehow never expect you to produce stuff like this, but I'm glad you did. Even after all these years I'm still a total sucker for some nice jangly guitars laid over each other and this hits that button so much on the nose. The Casio is amazing too! I want one of them now because clearly I don't have enough old keyboards lying around. Awesome tune, well up there amongst my favourites of yours this year.
1:08! And I was going to throw out my old Casio MT-68 as I never got on with it. Any use to you? It's a bit grimy and missing a couple of knobs. Email me your address, if you want it it's yours. http://biothinking.com/casio/
A classic Vom indie track! I really enjoyed the percussion, especially the little ringing sound. It sounds awesome when it kicks in after a minute or so too. I'm looking forward to some juicy revelations in that autobiography!
Dig it! All hail your The CASIO and your mastery of it. I love the percussion and the pulsing bells, alarm bells? This is good waking up music (or staying awake music). And I wanna get on the pre-order list for your Biography when it comes out. Let's make it a best seller!
Super gorgeous track! This is so good. I love that little ringing bell sound. Really wonderful textures and dreamy floaty sounds all around. I'm getting Múm vibes too.
Really nice is this. Love when that high synth kicks in at 1:09. Guitar work is super cool throughout. Some lovely twinkly goodness later on too! This feels like a bit of a change of pace from most of your other stuff this year and as such is perfect for sandwiching somewhere in the middle of your FAWM album 😀
This is woozy and lovely but not helping me get out of bed AT ALL
I just read your autobiography! Great story, sounds like a grand future, too!
Really, i enjoyed this track a lot; the layers, the textural and sound effects choices; great stuff!
Such a pretty song for a rainy Sunday afternoon. I love the toy instrument sounds, too. That dreamy synth is positively uplifting. This is a song I want to say thank for, because it just hit me at the right time and in the right spot. Thank you! ❤️
Fact of the day, played this thinking it was @oddbod. Ha! Anyway, this is really quite beautiful... real Múm vibes, or some of that mid-2000s post-rock. Skills in getting the Casio sounding so great! It's funny, I often copy and paste loops around and worry that it's obvious, but had you not said anything I totally wouldn't have noticed. I guess if you're going to do that, you have to be good at arranging, and the proof is in the pudding here (i.e. it's good.)
Too bad that you used the title for your autobiography - I thought I could use it for some chapters of mine.
Nice listen, has a fine uplifting mood. The bass glues the different parts.
Ah.. relaxing, mellow, a bit hypnotic... There's a sort of brightness, hopefulness that is accentuated by the harmonic moves --- those closely related keys you move to --- I enjoyed listening, thanks!
This is wonderful and reflective. The synth is indeed airy and dreamy.
