But lyrics and song content belong to the fawmers who wrote them!
badassriffs metal drseuss
So another thread had a challenge, to use #badassriffs , so I ended up with 4 repeating riff things... 2 on bass, 2 on guitar.
Using the B Aeolian scale, because that's what sounded good at the time. 😀
Handful of mixed lyrics courtesy of Dr. Seuss.
He wrote some real cool metal lyrics... Good on ya, sir.
Well this is a real treat! Having grown up on Doc Seuss, everything is so familiar yet, can't quite put my finger on it, but...different! Delightfully different / not quite the same / I recognize places / I recognize names. "Perhaps this is something quite new" said the John. I like it a lot / NO I LIKE IT A TON!!!
And that is some mightydamnsuperfine metal that is accompanying this Seuss salad!! Ya done good. Ya done Real Good!
Anything Suess gets my attention. This is over the top. Love it!
Nice playing! Seuss-Metal! Really fun.
Reminds me, I still gotta do some more bad assriffs as promised 😁 *waves* Nice tune. With the phrygian tag, I was expecting some Yngwie Malmsteen diddle doo stuff there 😁
I think the Seuss poems were just there for updating with metal music. You got there, cool work.
Well done! Grinch hip- hop next? Horton electropop? So many possibilities.
Yessssss! Dr. Seuss and your amazing music. A wonderful musical collaboration!
Man I love it when that phaser kicks in. I can feel that bass in the pit of my stomach. Noise Noise Noise! This song starts off like I've been washed upon the shores of some ancient island. There's nobody around, and the island is covered in the petrified stumps of Truffula trees. Seussed!
Oh this just had smiles pouring out of me... Awesome twisting of the Seussisms which morph perfectly into metal. Shocking how well it fits. Super fun and awesome riffage. Great job
I want a whole frickin' album of Seuss metal now! Specifically Grinch Metal! Wow! Lol! Fantastic and so much fun!
YEEEAAH~!!! It's Seuss metal~!! Absolutely delightful. I loved everything about this, not least of all metal's uncanny compatibility with Dr. Seuss. You could turn this into a thing.
"Now, here is a song that I like, said the cat."
Totally digging this! Excellent choice on lyrical source material! (= Works surprisingly well here!
Lol, this really works. Gave me a good smile, and impressed me with the arrangement. Great job!
Not only badass riffs, but that great trick of one badass riff sliding out from under another one.
The Lorax Knows His Axe.
P.S. are you at all familiar with the unauthorized album, "Dylan Hears a Who?" where a Bob Dylan impersonator does that style of interpretation to the Good Doctor G?
The B what now scale? Hey, I just like that you played something that sounds good! 😉 *koff koff"
That "I am the Lorax" bit works far too well. In fact the whole thing rocks despicably hard. Hmm... Do you think there is space for a new series of Dr Seuss audiobooks?
