It snowed here on Sunday. Not enough to do anything, but I wrote this tune anyway.
Half the fun for me is the production and recording and playing all the instruments I have around. I may have over did it a bit and I know the goal of production is to make the song stand out, but heck -- this is fawm. Still trying to learn how to play my new guitar -- a few extraneous E bass notes here and there!
Always gotta do a waltz or two in FAWM.
Snowy Gran Prix
It’s cold outside and you wanna go play
You’re thinking it’s just a beautiful day
But I’m getting older, not quite so spry
Too much cold, might up and die
So we put on our socks, gloves, furry hats
Warm woolies, turtlenecks, latest snow pants
Yea, you’re laughing and taking pictures of me
Well I’d rather be home drinking chablis
Now I sledding downhill, screaming at the thrill
I might die today or need a couple advil
I’m feeling quite young, lord have mercy on me
I’m trying to avoid that big birch tree
So we take off pants, woolies, furry hats
Look at the pictures of us being acrobats
Crank up the fire, make us some tea
Yea we survived our snowy grand prix
