But lyrics and song content belong to the fawmers who wrote them!
lo-fi acoustic folk-punk
it's a mystery
with plenty to fear
i once was
now i am lost
at any cost
I love your smile
can I stay here for a while?
Love the forward pace and simple arrangement. Great tune. Nice singing.
Lo-if goodness, leaves you wanting more. The beauty is it’s simplicity \m/
Really like your lyrics. Not just on this song either. You sound intense and honest. Great work!
Glad to see you here again, I always love your songs and look forward to hearing what you come up with this year 😀 This one is a great first song, it rocks and grooves with cool lyrics, I’m totally digging the vibe, this is right up my alley 😀
i like the way it zooms in to intimate space from something bigger with the ambiguity, it's good it is repeated to hear it from a different angle. nice one 😀
I hear a lot of Paul Simon influence here
Impressed by the almost cryptic way you create the lyrics. filled with imagery that in itself creates a miniature Philosophy
Very nice writings. Love the guitar. Your vocals are very nice. Great wordplay.
I see you’re a fan of short songs too. It’s good to leave people wanting more. I really like how this ends abruptly. Nice vocals too!
I always enjoy your songs. I love their simplicity and economy, which I project on to your life aided by your bio - a romantic 60's vision of you in a cabin in the woods of Vermont, making peace signs and eating spinach salads from your biodynamic kitchen garden. It makes the cube farm from which I write this more depressing, but when my daughter has graduated college, maybe I'll join you there... Even if that's nothing like where you actually are. 😀
Awesome feel like you always have in your songs. Perfect match of melody and lyrics. Not only meaningful but the words really sound good from a purely musical perspective as well.
Cool lo-fi vibes and minimal moving lyrics.
permafrost is a good word its got a real useful number of syllables and rhymes well and lots of symbolic potential
anyway this is a good song i really liked the repetition
"i once was found / now i am lost" Brilliant line! Dig the overall feel, but, duh, that's why I watchlisted you years ago. 😀
dang beautiful and simple. I love how the lyrics can be interpreted in a bigger sense at the beginning and then become more specific to you and somone's smile. 👍
I like the vibe on this, the complex appreciation is palpable. you have an economy of expression that is always impressive. I'm glad you went for a repeat of the whole, because the music is a treat too!
Love the metaphor of digging in the permafrost - this is a beautiful tribute to love that endures despite all the other baggage
This made me really happy. I thought of Husker Du right off for some reason. I think it works great as is and also could work with a wall of sound behind it. Thanks.
No wasted words. I like that. Emotional stream of impressions. A confident assessment of insecurity. Well done.
