Nothing too splashy. I'm aiming for relatively short instrumentals this year so I can use them as backing music for the promos we're using on the podcast I'm producing at work.
I stuck to just using SQ-8L for all the sounds on this track.
Love the classic sounds! Love the flow as well. Reminds me of Harold Faltermeyer.
Right into the sound of 80´s! Nice and funny.
Nice 80's vibe from a fellow Winnipeg artist.
Great to see you back, EV. You're pulling some nice sounds out of that SQ-8L - the bass is particularly satisfying. 80s-tastic. Fancy a collab this year if you've got time?
I love the SQ-8L! Haven't used it in years since going Mac but I'm switching back to Windows. Along with podcasts, this song would go well for demonstration videos.
I remember the keys player in a band I used to play in had an Ensoniq SQ80. A rather difficult synth to get to grips with I recall. Some good sounds here but I think you could afford to be a bit more adventurous with your percussion
Ah, that Ensoniq sound! How I miss it in my studio. Catchy hook, with a cool loose feel. Nice start!
Listening to track in the background via RSS, and this one stuck out at me. Very reminiscent of sounds from growing up and messing around with keyboards and early SoundBlaster cards. Tight, fun track!
Love it. Very "stranger things" esque.
Shoutout to that kalimba sound, good pick! Your bass is also sounding nice and bubbly.
