Hello! Decided to take the week one challenge with no chorus (or refrain). I didn't write down the chords on the lyric sheet and while it could have gone south fast, it didn't hurt too much.
In the mornings I will be recording in the basement with all the heating air handlers working overtime. So I decided to use my guitar plugged in and use the sm58 dynamic mic. Should help some with the ambient noises. I wanted to add a harmony part, but just didn't get to that (I need to load melodyne on the new pc to do harmonies -- ha, ha).
Also decided to break in my new Yamaha APX500iii that I got on Tuesday. It is going to take some time to learn and optimize the EQ, but here 'tis. Not sure about the cajon -- I added it at the end and I can't tell if it helps or hurts. At least I got a bit of practice in!
I know you are broken hearted
and you think you'll never be whole again
I want to just wrap my arms around you
and hold you tight
But I know it would never seem right to you.
When the sun rises
as it always does
I want you look out your window
and greet the new day with hope.
If you ever
want to sing a happy song again
I hope you'll let me sing harmony.
Kevin: guitars, cajon , harmonica, vocal.
