As we neared the end-of-February deadline and also my original goal of 20 songs, I remembered that I wanted to also write a more worshipful tune this year too. I've been a worship leader for a long time but have always shied away from worships songs because they always sound so trite to me, especially when I write them. So I've really never written many and channel all my songwriting into more personal indie-folk-rock stuff.
Psalm 55:22 is one of my all-time favorite verses: "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved."
I've had these lines in my notes since the season started and since I missed out on the #firstfruits, I decided instead to end my FAWM with just a little acoustic worshipful song. Hope you enjoy.
Thank you all for an amazing FAWM. I cannot begin to express just how much all of your comments, encouragement and support has meant to me. I will continue to reciprocate as best I can. God bless you all.
And my feet won't be moved
To the solid rock they'll be glued down
Nothing will remove them
I know where I'm found
In you I have authority and power
Nothing can move me
My ever-present source of life
