Song 61. This is a very metaFAWM kind of song and yet just an honest 5-minute-write-and-record sort of thing while waiting for my family to get ready for church.
I really love my family. I am a dull sort of person, in spite of my FAWMish tendencies. And I find a great joy in what GK Chesterton once called the "magnificent monotony" of the routine things of life. The sun rises each morning, so I am glad to be alive. And that explains a lot about who I am and how I approach things like FAWM. This is just a hobby of mine; I have no desire to take it to the next level or become world renowned for my songs. I just like making music with my family and my friends and my FAWM friends. If I give someone else a smile once in a while, it's all worth it.
I don't know what it's like
To live life in the fast lane
Because I've got a house full of kids
A mortgage, a car loan, regular bills
They get paid on time, and that's no shame.
I'm a reasonably dull man, it's true.
But I'll sing a song or two.
Just for fun, this is song 61
Of FAWM this year-- have good cheer!
