Eighth song in a series Hoops and I were working on. Details of the series are posted on Derek 4: http://fawm.org/songs/65519/
This is the first of these that doesn't have a vocal from Hoops. My good friend @isaacq kindly, and bravely, answered my call to fill the role of Yves.
Mostly this is a little sketch about 13-year-old Lydia trying to flirt with Yves via another dubious French lesson, and making him so nervous that he runs off into traffic. This ends with Yves in hospital and Amber in tears, paving the way for exciting plot twists in Derek 7 ... stay tuned!
Yves: Bonjour, mademoiselle
Lydia: Bonjour, mademoiselle
Yves: Vous etes 'mademoiselle', je suis monsieur
Lydia: Bonjour, monsieur!
Yves: Il pleut
Lydia: Il ... pleut. Il ... pleut! Oui, monsieur, il pleut!
I shan’t forget
Il pleut, il pleut, il pleut
Oh, I'm so wet!
Yves:Il fait beau
Lydia:Oui, il fait extremement beau aujourd'hui, j'adore le printemps --
Lydia: "Comment" - that means "what", right?
Yves: Lydia, you speak very good French
I really don't think you need me
Yves, I need your tutoring
Like you tutored mom in French, oh, teach me!
Pardonnez-moi, I must go!
No, Yves, no, Yves, no, no no!
Amber: Critical condition? Can he have visi -- no, I'm a friend of the family ... (sob) of course, I understand ....
