Paper Doll Feels the Earthquake

Lyrics:

Just want to be beautiful
before I fold and blow away
Not sure if I said
too much today
but I feel
like I’m born again, way back when, once again
feeling the dew on my face
as I wake up in a strange place

paper boat floats
in a vacant lot puddle
the mud dry
and cracking leaves a map
back to something
clean
and stunning, dressed in white cotton bunting
feeling the few in my place
as I wake up in a strange place

The earth has moved
and I kept my hold
and fold in to something
beautiful
and I stand on the beach
where I’m just
out of reach
feeling the pull of this place
as I wake up in a strange face

That is you singing and modifying your voice? -- that's a cool concept. Stopped here because of the banjo tag, I am glad I did, pretty cool stuff.

The vocal effect is surprisingly believable -- this came up as I have my watchlist on the jukebox, and I thought "that sounds like TJ O'Donnell, but who's that singing with him?" Cool. I quite like the lyric here.

As I've been listening to other FAWMers incorporate the uke, I'm gaining a greater appreciation for it. I like it here and your words and delivery are just the right mix. I think bass underlying it all could work...

...and a tambourine and hand clapping (I'm doing a little of that...not as I'm typing but while I was listening).
