Explore-The-Core challenge, lyrics by @nancyrost, chords by @wille and @hoopshank - see http://fawm.org/forums/thread/3014/

Outside my comfort zone in so many areas here... one of the funner things about it was singing soooo quietly. I practically whispered these vocals, though this made my pitch control come apart. (I should have just dropped the whole song a half step or so--would that be cheating?)

Oh, I think adjusting a key to suit a singer is perfectly OK. But there is something to be said for pushing the envelope...

I think this has some similarities to my version, more than any other I've heard so far. I like it!

Ooo... different. All sorts of different. And all good. I like how you carry the chords with the melody of the words more than with the instruments. Dashed clever of you, sir!

    greek yogurt is the phase
but can it save the dying Gods
is Zeus a one act play
    has helen seen her day
    if they sank their olives
    into i-pod technology
    instead of peaches and pears
and the all to aromatic worcestershire
    perhaps Athena wouldn't be weeping
and Archimedes wouldn't be keeping score
counting sea shells along the Cretian shore...

just some thoughts your song brought along...

Funny you mention the challenge of singing in a higher tessitura than normal. I'm writing a song series in each key for this FAWM, and I've found I keep writing stuff that is too high for me to sing the way I normally would. In some cases it has worked out well, in other cases not so well. I like your take on this EtC... it never ceases to amaze me how much a song can be different and still remain the same. I'm particularly fond of the harmony vocal slides you threw in here.

Very good, nice uptempo and great solo!

Great version - frantic, upbeat, strange and exciting! Love the guitar solo also.

Hooray! I'm dancing in my chair! It's not fit for public consumption!

Good stuff! This is a lot more upbeat and bouncy than a lot of the Explore the Core songs!

I would never have guessed this was outside your comfort zone -- it works so well! Really like the pop feel you've given it.
