14.7% of this year's fawmers have donated, raising US $11942 for FAWM 2012. As usual, ten percent ($1194) will go to charity.

electric-piano alternative electronica synthpop
Well, we're 11 days in and I finally mostly-finished a song. Apparently this particular February decided to be very cruel in the time-sucking department between a new job and myriad of other distractions. (stupid Leap Year) Alas.
Anyway, this year I wanted to write stuff I don't normally write or compose. (I'm a worship leader for my church) and thus last night, this synth-pop number was born. It's still a WIP but basics are fleshed out.
SAFE (Keep My Heart)
Jacob Everett Wallace
[verse 1]
I’m feeling so tired, just wanna rewind
Energy expired, ran out of time
Hard to keep up, hard to stay afloat
Stretching my luck, my enemy is at my throat
Surviving on fumes, just wanna relax
Headed to my tomb, no time to sit back
Tryin’ to keep pace, on this path I chose
Caught in the race, heart exposed
[chorus]
And the devil’s at my door, about to invade
Gotta guard my walls, gotta close my gates
And the devil’s at my door, about to invade
Gotta keep my heart, keep my heart safe
[verse 2]
[bridge]
[tag]
Gotta keep my heart, keep my heart safe
