It's just the outline of a song I wrote to this poem I found tucked in my Facebook notes.
I am a composer not a player so the playing is novice.
People were home so I had to sing quietly.
Sounds cool as shit.
There once was a dolly
Different from the rest
She had marker on her arms
and a beat in her chest
The other playthings would scream
"Go home,
No one wants you here"
And dolly would cry
Sad little felt pen tears
C Em Bm G+
But things started to change as time passed by
Dolly got smart and Dolly got kind
Dolly got cute and she had many friends
Everyone loved Dolly and thought of her so well
But in the mirror she thought mean and homely
No matter what her friends could say or do
She couldn't see what she had grown into
So she hid from the good she knew in herself
Dolly you're beautiful
Dolly you're sweet
Dolly you're loved by everyone you meet
Dolly you're different and that is good
Come on baby do what we knew you could
Now! the things that drove the others way
Ended up making your new friends stay
So! Dolly come home, Forget the slanderers
They're long gone
You're so much more than you say you are
