bluesy alternative ukulele

Liner Notes:

The old knackered guitar with four strings was tuned to C ukulele tuning. Played with slide and too many FX. The timing is mostly not in time with anything including itself. Concert uke used in a few places.

I've never played with a slide before. It's been hard work with about 5000 takes per track and its still not right. Can't work any space for the lyrics, which I can't write, cos my stream of consciousness is broke.

you could have checked this one in as a riff-based song, like oddbod says, the riff does sound like something you could play on the didge. The different tone-colors help separate each of the slide and string instruments. The drop in texture (down to one instrument) at the end seemed a bit abrupt. It ends a lot different than it begins, but I consider that a good point. A bit of a journey.

Interesting experiment, I really like the unusual sound of the rhythmic part. Very cool sound!

I like the way the slide parts work with each other - one bass, one melody, some other repetitive things going on. This has a cool, slippery swamp blues vibe, and I think this "slide uke" idea is something worth exploring more.

weird stuff. that's like some crazy digereedoo rhythm on guitar.
