Liner Notes:

What better way to try to try and recover from wrecking my voice on the last song with trying to sing a song with a 3-octave range?

Lyrics:

I hate my guitar
it wants to play for you
but it has to know there’s nothing left

I wish it would just leave me the hell alone
stop suggesting songs that I can’t sing

Ooh, god, no
Don’t need to scratch this itch

Once upon a time
we had all the songs in the world
stomped out on the floor upstairs

but nothing's forever
everything changes
Me too

Cos, baby, I don’t want you back, god, no
Baby, I don’t even care that you want me
Cos you know? You know you kicked me out
and I won't just be kicked in

Just one more song
I guess I owe you one last tune,
I try but not a sound comes out
I wish it would so I could leave you the hell alone

And, baby, I don’t want you back, god, no
All I want is one last tune to leave me
Cos you know? You know I liked our dance and try as I might, I can’t dance alone

I love it how somehow, less than 2 seconds in to a song, you know it's a Tim Wille song.
Cool idea of personifying your guitar.

The way you incorporate breaks, and make changes throughout a song in the texture are really beautiful. I envy your ability with that.

i love the tension in your songs. there's something that just buzzes in the sort of juxtaposition between the smoothness of your voice and the crunchiness of your songwriting.

I also like the thing you do often of revealing the song as it goes through the song, it's all about the build.

Also, you write genuinely interesting songs that take nothing for granted. Great work here, yet again, keep it up.

yeah, I like this one more. Not that Hoops moving isn't quality, but this is more gooder.

Great song. Classic wille. Great rocking background (drums are sounding really tight, love the guitar sound) with your trademark orchestral accompaniment and those inimitable vocals (I've tried imitating them, remember, it was messy!)

Really like the way this builds up. Melody and chords sound good and your voice is great for it. Thanks for uploading.

I don't know how you do it. You've got this way with melody that just sweeps one right into the emotion immediately.

Wow. This one just draws you in right away with the opening falsetto. Great build on this, and your falsetto vocals work really well here. I really dig this track. Nicely done, man.

I dig the urgency of the falsetto coupled with the pulsing guitar. Cool lyrics - I like the back-and-forth between singing about an ex-lover and a guitar. Your vocal is ambitious and powerful.

Such a fine song! I really liked it.
It's kind of catchy. The intro is just so cool!
Reminds me of 'You Cut Her Hair' by Tom McRae.
I'm not that much into Radiohead but I reckon it's sounds a bit Radiohead-ish as well.

"stop suggesting songs that I can’t sing" (Great line!)
I love how you shape lyrics to the music while building momentum through the song!
    Good work! smile

Nice tune here. I really liked the lines "I wish it would just leave me the hell alone/stop suggesting songs that I can't sing."
    Good job!

You're out Thom Yorke-ing Thom Yorke.
I think I hear him weeping in the next room (While lying on a pile of money)
I am trying to say that I like this.

Thanks for the comment on *23059! This track is really great. You've got a strong voice. Well-mixed, but I might bring the drums out a bit more and add some more low-end to them. Really like the line "stop suggesting songs that I can't sing". Great job!

I demand that you stop out-rocking me this instant.

Great arrangement and I loved the falsetto singing with it. I couldn't get used to it at first so I listened again and I loved it!

    Good work!

pretty epic dude...more good stuff from the usual source of unusually good stuff

Seriously loving the whispery voice. big_smile

Oh this is very jolly good indeed. I love how there's a real pace to the music, but the vocals are all so laid back. Lovely opposites.
  • timothybracken 3 months ago
Guitar sounds great. Love how the vocal goes from super high territory to lower. Strings are cool.
  •  negasi 3 months ago
Everything in this song just goes together so perfectly! I love love love love love the vocals!
