songskirmish. Sort of a cast-against-type upbeat song about being down. Came in late, timed myself to 7:40-8:40 central: another one-hour wonder. Weak guitar break, but at least I don't have to bail out by whistling any more!
I'm feeling down again
just like I lost a friend
It's like the weight of the world
was on my shoulders and then
It kept on pushing me down
And further into the ground
But if its on my back
Then where are my feet at?
It makes no sense to me
Where Atlas puts his feet
He must be on the sun
Asbestos booties on
He never makes a fuss
like that old Sisyphus
old heroes are so stoic
That's why they inspire poets
Yet I am down again
must be my my evil twin
Guess I can cheer on up
or I can just pretend
Cause while I'm drawing breath
I can endure the rest
And maybe catch a break or just a bend
