Lyrics:

Soul, my soul, my soul, my soul
Don't leave me until I'm buried in the cold
Soul, my soul, my soul, my soul
Don't leave me until I'm buried in the cold

When I'm gone, you can fly away
No more sorrows, all sins washed away
You'll be free, and I'll be in my grave
Sleeping just as soundly as a stone, stone, stone
Sleeping just as soundly as a stone, stone, stone

Soul, my soul, my soul, my soul
I know that you've been aching for your home
Soul, my soul, my soul, my soul
I know that you've been aching for your home

Won't be long 'til I'm buried in the sand
You'll be home, cradled in your daddy's hand
He'll send the rain and he'll wash all the land
All these sorrows roll away just like a stone, stone, stone
All these sorrows roll away just like a stone, stone, stone

Soul, my soul, my soul, my soul
When I lay me down this evening for my rest
Soul, my soul, my soul, my soul
When I lay me down this evening for my rest

Tell me stories of what your daddy done
Make me believe that there's reason to hold on
Teach me to see, tell me I'm not all alone
That my heart is something more than a stone, stone, stone
That my heart is something more than a stone, stone, stone
That my heart is something more than a stone, stone, stone
That my heart is something more than a stone

Soul, my soul, my soul, my soul
Don't leave me until I'm buried in the cold

    Very... soulful wink
Love your voice and what you do with it.

I don't think about my soul very often, until one of you meddling singer-songwriters interferes.
Seriously though, sounds good. Sounds like you. Sounds soulful, mournful, and packed with emotion. Well done.

i have a soft spot for bluesy type of music. This is a really good song! I wish I could play a guitar like that lol.

Wow... Found this at the jukebox, it blew my mind away... Great voice and singing, and I love this bluesy guitar picking too...

hmm... channeling PJ Harvey? This sounds properly blues, like out there in the cold, type blues (appropriately), not nice cosy warm electric blues, but tough ain't-got-money-for-tomorrow blues. I particularly thought your voice and singing really put across the feeling of the song, nice work.

I second the "bluetiful" remark! This is gorgeous.

Awesome lyrics, your voice sounds sooooo bluesy, "bluetiful"... Great job!

Holy cow, this is spectacular. I normally don't pop in just to say that without being more specific, but there's a first time for everything.

Kinda out of my usual territory but I can identify with that
Yeah, a pretty fresh concept and fresh approach
    Good work

Cool song, like the sound. New concept I think too, writing a song to your soul. I like the repetition of Stone, Stone, Stone with the different lines before each. Nice work.
