Tonight, while sitting with my daughter at the piano, I saw some papers on the floor and discovered that my princess had written a song, or at least the lyrics to one. My baby girl is a FAWMer!

I've never been one of those parents who forced pictures of my kids upon everyone I met, but you're going to hear her first co-write with daddy!

Mind you, daddy can do little but pick out chords on the piano, but that's not where the joy in this comes from.

wow awesome. I'm sure you'll treasure that sheet of lyrics forever. I'm trying desperately to get my daughter (7) into songwriting. She makes up little bits of songs all the time but is, for some reason, unwilling to let me turn them into full songs, or to record anything.

This is wonderful though. A precious song that you and your daughter can both look back on as a FAWMative (formative, obviously) development in daddy-daughter relations
