Thanks for the suggestion, I was needing a good title! (Well, actually, I was in need of any semblance of a title, it just so happens you gave me a good title to use!)
  •  rhymetime 1 day ago
Funny fella, forgetting the strange name rhymetime for a common old Annie.. Glad you stopped back with your winning smile and happy greeting.. Same back at cha.. I am working late trying to catch up and you are cruising along listening to strange ladies with common names and commenting.. That's why I hardly know anybody and you have a pile of friends. Keep having fun! Annie
  •  chipwithrow 1 day ago
Gonna record "Earth" this weekend, also 2 other songs of mine, and watch a lot of college basketball. My dreams lately have been of FAWM and college hoops, because that's what I've been devoting every evening to.
Shoot me an email at chipwithrow@yahoo.com and I'll send you the mp3 when it's done.
  • keithwiseman 1 day ago
Thanks for the comment man... really appreciate it!

I was just tinkering, love your advice though!
  •  ellenpliss 3 days ago

  •  evelbist 3 days ago
back at you wyatt - thanks
  • testthebest 3 days ago
Thanks! Geez the last time I looked at your page you had 2 up and now you're at 6?! you're absolutely killing it. Btw, I'm shorter on time that I thought I'd be, but I'd really like to get a collab in. That's kind of a half promise.
  •  ellenpliss 3 days ago
wyatt - you rocked the improvements on my lyrics -- really, really good, better. How about I take your suggestions, list you as a collab, and you make us a song smile You can do it, I know you can. I'll even try to come up with a melody or something, I just refuse to sing. I have a keyboard and guitar collecting dust behind me, for a good reason.
  • janeukey 3 days ago
Thanks for listening to 'The Laundromat Song' Wy! Glad you liked it smile
  •  chipwithrow 4 days ago
Wow! Thought up a chord progression this morning, then I sat down with your "Earth" lyrics just now, and they fit so well! Sort of Bowie-ish, I think, acoustic guitar with maybe a splash of synth. I'll give it a go by the weekend. And your words fit as is - no meter/syllable changes needed at all. Spooky how that works sometimes.
  •  beadysea 4 days ago
Thanks! Yeah, the month is going great so far, we'll see how long it keeps up... every day I get up with no idea what to record that night o_O but having lots of fun.
  • kaylou 4 days ago
Thank you for your kind comment. I will hopefully think up a melody for it soon. smile
  • alfalfa 4 days ago
Thanks for checking out my tune, Wy. I caught a little inspiration for a few tunes, and "made" time to write/record them. I hope to repeat the process.
  •  ellenpliss 5 days ago
wyatt - thanks so much for reviewing my Impressions lyrics....you took away my zong and I am grateful. I respect your writing so much -- please help me make that better if you have suggestions! Especially the Picasso verse -- I know that one is lame.
  •  musicsongwriter 5 days ago
Thank you for your nice comment on my one chord lullaby Wy smile Your demo is playing now. I've enjoyed listening very much smile
  •  albasauce 5 days ago
thanks for the comment. you get a lyric that is dripping with Americana and I'll take a whack at it;) I really dig your lyrics on the old books tell of earth... But maybe they would be kindles or nooks? I'm just playing...
  •  kevinemmrich 5 days ago
How's it going. I should've had time tonight to start playing around on that collab, but my poor father -in-law is having computer issues and he is very tough to help. I want to work on one song so I can be on schedule, but I don't know how much I will get accomplished tonight. I will get a first rev of that song done this week -- no matter what!
  • alexphott 6 days ago
I would give it a go, but I'm far too focused on getting my own stuff done unfortunately.
  • keithwiseman 6 days ago
Thanks for the comment... I really appreciate it!
  • zachsongs 6 days ago
Thanks for the comment and checking my profile, i'll add some new stuff soon. I really like your lyrics
  • tspoon 6 days ago
Thanks for the comment on my song "Windswept Country girl". I think I fixed the demo, it seems I had to convert from MP4 to MP3, and now it plays normally in the player. I appreciate your kind words.
  • quisaitrien 1 week ago
Thanks for the comments! I'm not quite happy with my voice on any of the tracks I've recorded - too much stray vibrato - but you boosted my confidence. smile
  • kristi 1 week ago
Hey Wy! Well, ya know, I need the push...so it's good motivation! The dam could close at any moment...ha ha. Thanks for your bridge idea on "Other Stories..." I'll revisit at some point. And for your thoughts on "Foolish"....always appreciate the feedback!! smile
  •  fireball 1 week ago
hey hey. i hope i'll find time to do something with the "Earth" words. but Saturday was my main free-time day, so it might take a while or forever... i say give it to someone else. if/when i do get around to it, i'll shoot it your way. i like to hear totally different interpretations on the same words. (even the same chords, like that "explore the core" in the forum")

  • daddyschu 1 week ago
Thank you good sir for that comment. I had been working on something much more complex (for me) and was thoroughly frustrated! Switched gears and simplified just to change my thinking, and the first verse flowed outa my mouth. smile

Hey there Brother in Donation Thread Bumping thanks for the comment!

Hi Wyatt, thanks for the welcome message, that was sweet. Lookin forward to the adventure & opportunity to learn. I am going to try to do as much on my own as possible but I am blessed with a great advisor & co-adventurer. Happy FAWMing to ya!
  • janeukey 1 week ago
Hiya Wy! Thanks for the lovely feedback on 'The Sun through the Clouds' - I'm glad the download played ok - I use dropbox for loading up my files so I'm not sure whether the bar you saw is how that normally shows up on the FAWM site for dropbox files or not. smile
  •  blindkiwi 1 week ago
Thanks for the comments Wy. BTW, there will never be enough train songs, looking forward to yours

  •  downburst 1 week ago
Wy--not that I'm not up for it, but it looks like you're paired with kevinemmrich. I'd still be interested in a non-random collab with you though!

Hey Wyatt, I'm not a big instrumental guy either, but thanks for the comments about the mandolin thing. Needed something simple to get off zero! See you around. smile
  •  valeriecox 1 week ago
Hi Wyatt. Thanks dropping some thoughts on my little tune. - Love your bio. I ain't died yet. Ha! I know that's right. big_smile
  • petemurphy 1 week ago
Thanks for the advice, Wyatt. I'm going to try my best to just get it all out, and try not to get caught up going around in circles attempting to get one section right. I've got four or five ideas on the go at the moment (even though yesterday was plagued by computer problems). It's really interesting so far, composing on an instrument that I've only recently started learning. Hopefully I'll reach the finishing post with a new batch of 14 and a half songs (Haven't got a clue how I'm going to pull off the 1/2 song!)
  • ernie 1 week ago
Thanks for the message wyatt. Look forward to reading/hearing your tunes. And yes FAWM is a great place. It is my first time and I am off to a very slow start but I am getting excited about it all and the idea of creating lots of content. Or not.

    Wyyyyyyyyy!!!
How do you do, good sir? What ho! and all that. Thanks for the welcoming message. I'm a little afraid of the vortex this year, so I've been keeping my distance. Remains to be seen if I let myself float out to sea with the gang, or toe the line of job hunting that is calling my name in a deep and serious voice. If I strike gold, I'll be the first one here!!
  • oma2382 2 weeks ago

All I know is that if you go to donate, somewhere in the options is a choice to donate for another FAWMer.

I remember seeing it. smile Sorry I can't be more specific.

Queen? Ha! Nope...I was the character representing a saloon singer from the Alaskan gold rush of 1897! I'm the Klondike Kate of 2009!

  •  antlion 3 weeks ago
Hey, I haven't written anything since 50/90 and barely even anything during that. So we can both come back from the dead. big_smile

Thanks for the greeting wyatt, anxious to start. : )

Yes, my new "show-me" friend. robynmackenzie did indeed set me on the right path toward enlightenment. I wondered around in a daze for the last several days just lookin' ... gawking at all the scenery, greenery, schemery, and teeth-gritted meanery (but in a positive, uplifting, constructive way). I hope to get a whole great big bunch of colaborations going at the same time.
