    Happy Spring!
I'm finishing working on the slide-show/video for our collaboration, will send you the link when it is ready. Fingers crossed my computer doesn't have different ideas... It keeps shutting down, I think it's chocking on my music lol.

Thanks Wolf for commenting on some more of my tracks. I am now back to 100%. Your input assists me as I am trying to think of some good ideas in remixing and re-recording some bit on the FAWM 2012 tracks. smile

I also look forward to catching up with more and more of your tracks over the coming weeks as I found your works amazing. As for Karan I fully agree that she is just so amazing and I have enjoyed her works very very much this FAWM.
  • kristi 2 months ago
Thank you for your very kind comments on "What Does it Matter." Nadia and Valerie really bring the lyric to life! Glad you enjoyed it!

A last THANK YOU, Wolf, for all the comments left on my page. I am amazed at all you accomplished plus all the support you offered people.. That is pretty wonderful, like having double home runs. You have won a large fan base which is really nice.
Many Thanks for all the help and uplifting replies.

OMG Wolfie ... you've really outdone yourself this time! Are you going for the "Most Prolific Fawmer" award?

We're kind of polar opposites this Fawm ... as I had no songs til the very last day!

It will take me a while to listen to all these ...

  •  jadesongbird 2 months ago
    Catching up with you!

One, the "Strange Skies" demo is fixed. I'd left the "e" out of "jadesongbird" in my file name.

Second, thank you *so* much for the feedback on "The Gun's Still Smokin'". It's one of those that needs work, but I can't always see what it is about a song that's bothering me. You are right about that last verse.

Lastly....three songs... I am so nervous! I'm going to do the 8 PM EST skirmish tonight, and I have the chords for another song started... I was thinking of doing something a cappella, with layered voice....
  • mrblitz000 2 months ago
thanks for all of your comments during this fawm. at one point, you had wondered about the bass being panned so far left. my guitar is tuned way down, so i tend to try and separate bass/guitar left/right, because sometimes the bass and guitar get in each others' way. regardless of that, what i 'finally' went with on this 'fawm album' was to pan the 'high bass' far left, while keeping the 'low bass' more in towards the middle. yada yada. anyway, thanks again for all of the listens and comments! it was great hearing your material, too.

Sorry about the technical problems on hearing the songs. I understand not wanting to risk computer problems. I only have them on soundclick, but I had never heard of that kind of problem with soundclick either.....thanks for the attempts!

Okay, not sure if I can do anything by the end of tomorrow but I could post it as an idea and add you as my collaborator. Would that be okay?
  •  musicsongwriter 2 months ago
Triple winner!!! Three times congratulations! No, more because not only you have a great number of songs, because you have great songs!!!
  • arthurrossi 2 months ago
Thanks a lot, Wolf! Anyway, I think I will fail this time... You know, this number does not really show the number of actually written songs as there are some double-postings when 2 different artists have chosen the same set of lyrics or when some of the songs were posted again to be "in the time line", but I missed to delete the previously posted set of lyrics because of laziness, so actually, I am lacking some more than only 5 songs to reach that magic number... however, I hope this will be a great incentive for next FAWM...
By the way, you did a great FAWM 2012, too... You won it far beyond twice... and you write songs, which, at least according to me, should count like lyrics multiplied by factor 10...
    Great job, my friend!!
  •  musicsongwriter 2 months ago
Hello Wolf, thank you so much for listening to my zong smile I've enjoyed so much composing it, I'd love to have a go at another one and I'll be delighted to collaborate with you. Thank you so much for offering, always a treat to collaborate with you!!!

Thanks for your comments on "Most Days", Wolf! The ticking was actually intentional, my guitar pick against my iPhone, to simulate a ticking clock. I can see how it would be distracting, though. Hmmm.... I'll have to play with this idea in a different, less straightforward way.

Wolf: Rules are for breaking. There really isn't a time limit for a song. Most seem to hit around 2-3 minutes, though. I've had shorter than 2 minutes and felt okay with them. And I've had nearly 4 minutes and didn't like em at all. So... to each their own, i guess. If you are happy with it, then that's all that counts.

    thanks for listening.

    Hi Wolf,
Thank you again for both your help with the title and your very kind comments. I hope I never have that much trouble again. I am glad you like the song. Hello Wolf. Thank you so much for your amazing thoughts on my keyboard submission. I was hesitating to post it and I was thinking "What am I doing?" I came to check thinking I'd have to delete it lol. Well, I'll keep it since Wolf thinks it's ok smile
Thank you so much for all your support!!! It means more than you can imagine!
  • mrblitz000 2 months ago
thanks for all your comments! on 'raven woman,' i'll probably put a keyboard solo at the beginning. the vocals had all of the 'spaces' cut out, so they're pretty much continuous. on 'trust fund baby' you had mentioned a 'moog' sound. that's probably dblue glitch vst on the guitar.

Wolf my collaborator Stanimir was reluctant to have our collab posted here, and frankly all I needed was a half song anyway, so up jumped the elevator song!
  •  musicsongwriter 3 months ago
Haha! I just went on my page and saw 14 songs thinking how come? I knew there were 13! I saw my lyrics posted twice. Who was that strange person doing that? LOL! Anyway, I deleted the one without a comment, went on the one with a comment and what did I find? My friend Wolf read the lyric already!!! WOW! Thank you so much for being there and letting me know of the posting twice. All sorted. Now I am off to listen something amazing. Looking forward to hearing your new song smile

Wolf, You Don't Know Me is up, but I can't get it to work on Soundcloud, so I hope the FAWM link works for you!
  •  rhymetime 3 months ago
Wolf, you are much too kind to me. I am pleased that you used the word cello because that is what I think I am doing when I play the nyckelharpa, a traditional Swedish instrument which I play on my lap with a small bow. It has 4 rows of wooden pegs that hit the strings when touched.. all of it is muscle memory because you can't see your hand touching the pegs. one dozen sympathetic strings sit beneath the four main strings which are tuned like a viola. That is my mental cello. I always appreciate hearing from you . Thanks so much!
  •  rhymetime 3 months ago
Hi Wolf, Thanks for your suggestion, it worked and it's up now. You are so nice to want to drop by and see what's new. I am moving very slowly as you can see. I was amazed to see all you have achieved . Congratulations on a pile of fresh songs. a CD's worth of work. Clap Clap!

Hi Wolf Kier, thank you so much for the comment. It's my first upload to fawm, I've been nervous about putting anything up due to a great lack of confidence. I feel that my voice is my biggest let down, and I wish I could 'own it', but I don't know how to improve (I've been singing backing vocals in my band for years, and thought it would've 'toughened up' by now, but it hasn't). Cheers!
  • jamestoffee 3 months ago

  •  blindkiwi 3 months ago
Too much work and too little play makes for an unhappy muse I am afraid Wolf. I've got about 10 songs in various stages of incompletion, If I can get two of them finished before Feb 29 I will be happy.
  •  roelvanveldt 3 months ago

Thanks for your comments as well, glad you like my stuff :]
The idea of actually HOSTING a FAWMCast sounds a bit intimidating, although I know there are easy instructions for it, and I'm quite sure I can pull off any amount of talking if I run out of music etc etc... Maybe after we come back from London, so during the last week. MAYBE. Thanks for the encouragement!

//EDIT: Congrats for winning to you too!

  •  joetime 3 months ago
Wolf, thanks again. You're right, fills are something I haven't experimented with yet, and they would def help me out. I've got 7 more songs to practice on smile
I guess what you're saying is more 'build up' during the course of the song. In which case I agree. I'm running a little behind so I'm cutting down on my arrangement/mixing time. But I'm def gettin faster at getting the basics down without too much trouble, so that's the next step...

    Congrats on finishing 12 songs!
  • the3queens 3 months ago
Wolf, thx for comments. The mix is down because I was using Edirol rather than direct with mic through audacity. So no mic on voice, and no mix actually. I'm having some time constraints due to my schedule so it was easiest and fastest way to post. I'll probably rerecord when I get a moment, over Predisent's Day long weekend.

Wolf. thanks for the comment on Changing Tides. I have noticed the distortion, still trying to isolate where it's coming from. The song actually flows right into I Wonder (An earlier track I wrote). the songs play together seamlessly (I posted a link to the MP3s so people could get the idea). thanks for listening.
