I'm bummed that the hoped for collab didn't happen this year. My appendix dying really threw a wrench into things. The rest of FAWM was a blur. I loved what I heard from you and am looking forward to hearing more, as always.

Wonderland is the 4th song in a series of alice stories (the prior 3 were before Fawn) we are looking to do some sort of musical play. The chords are based on arabic music.

  • @coolparadiso  Mar 1

you may also be interested there is a west coast band i think - they are called Dengue Fever. -lead singer is Cambodian - try the song seeing hands first!

  • @fuzzy  Feb 28

Hey, I thought that our collaboration was excellent as well.
I would welcome the opportunity to do that again!

  • @bithprod Feb 28

Hope you’re still willing to help me out with the chorus for my rap. 😀 I probably won’t be able to finish it within the deadline, but I’ve made a placeholder for it. You can sing the notes of the chorus pretty much the way you want, but you need to follow my lead when it comes to beat/rhythm/stress, as I have to mix together several vocal tracks.

Can you check if the link you left on my profile page is correct?
(If you edit an already existing comment with a link that link is shortend/corrupted).
p.s. longer segments are OK too 😀

  • @standup  Feb 26

In "Surfing the Deck Chairs" I ran the guitar through an old Line 6 Constrictor compressor, and then compressed more in the mix. It has no dynamics!

  • @declan  Feb 25

Here’s the 10 sec for the lyrics corpse.

  • @fuzzy  Feb 24

I don't think I thanked you properly for creating "Dance Of The Spaced-Out Turkeys".
    It was truly wonderful.
    Thank you!! 😀
EDIT: Oops, looks like I did below - well, thanx again - so nice!!

  • @robs  Feb 24

I've sent you lyrics for the Lyrics First Exquisite Corpse using the 50/90 contact form, I hope it worked. It's not your turn yet, Jamcar and Declan are not finished yet.

  • @zecoop  Feb 23

The last few days I definitely am hearing a nice full, clean guitar solo that follows the melody on the summer song. I didn't plan the song at all when I wrote it, lol, and like you said, really wasn't in a condition to, but can always revisit it. Appreciated the listen. 😀

  • @sph  Feb 22

Hi, did you already send the Kaiju track to me?

  • @fuzzy  Feb 22

    Sounds fantastic.
    Wonderful work!
You've improved my original track immensely!

  • @guatecoop  Feb 19

    That sounds like a plan!

  • @guatecoop  Feb 19

If you want, I can send one with a click intro. I typically cut off that stuff and give .75 seconds as an intro. I mean, you will put it into your daw with as much lead time as you want anyway...just let me know.

  • @guatecoop  Feb 19

I used 120nom to record it, but sometimes I wasn't totally faithful to it.

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 19

Thanks! Good to get some constructive criticism for once 😀 It's hard to program something like the Wonderwall drums, eh. More complex than they let on.

  • @owl  Feb 16

thanks for listening and commenting! Yeah, i went back and forth on the drums on "lonesome vale" but ultimately left them in since it was out of my comfort zone as well.

  • @guatecoop  Feb 16

Hey there....I will be checking out more of your songs this weekend. We were talking about mic preamps and such before and I just was paid for a recording job that I did at the beginning of winter....They knew what I was going to buy next and just bought that for me for payment...I am so excited..they bought me a Warm Audio WA412! That was what I was going to buy next anyway, so....anyway, I will let you know what I think about it. I have half of a FAWM to use it in any way that I can think of. Apparently, since this thing has come out last year, loads of people have been selling their API 312 and 3124. The upside of the WA is that it has several additions, such as an output trim and impedance switch from 600ohms to 150 ohms. Well, and it is only about $300 per channel.

Kaiju Exquisite Corpse - my last 10 sec:
    'to forget' F#m F#

  • @zecoop  Feb 15

Now fully rocked out with Karl on vocals and my friend on lead. 😀

  • @guatecoop  Feb 11

I seriously should check them a proper listen. It would seem as though I would like them.

  • @guatecoop  Feb 10

Hey thanks! I guess I should listen to Yo La Tengo! Apparently some of my songs sound like them. I don't own anything by them, have never seen them, and couldn't name a song....somehow, I guess I sound like them to some degree....Thanks for the comments

  • @standup  Feb 9

Thanks for checking out Dark Mirror. Drums are fake, crushed with Devil Loc and Decapitator. Favorite tools, though I took a break from Decapitator for a while.

  • @rainchaser  Feb 8

Hearing your strat in your songs makes me wish I had a strat! *Cries*

  • @fuzzy  Feb 6

Haha no, Tiny Turkeys was not done to a click. I just tried to keep up with myself. I like the slight chaos that develops when recording multiple tracks with no click track. I consider it part of my "sound". I did use the ukulele track as a primary, though. Good luck! ☺️

  • @aerlyn Feb 5

That's cool! Let me know which lyrics you aren't using so I could maybe post those in the meantime?

  • @sci Feb 5

hey! I saw that you weren't familiar with Allan Holdsworth's solo work, so I wanted to share two of my favorite songs of his. (incidentally both from the same album....It's a good album.)

  • @fuzzy  Feb 5

    Here's the Dropbox link...

  • @ayehahmur  Feb 5

Hey, thanks for the compliment about murnie - we had a lot of fun together and I'm proud of those songs. Don't worry I will be posting songs soonish. Having written two I'm prettu much up to speed - just need to find to demo them and post them.

  • @fuzzy  Feb 5

    Hey, Thanx for the comments!
Yes, I pitch shifted the Melodica; I find the ukulele and Melodica together are too annoyingly high and I need some bass in there.
Sure I'll send you the tracks to mess around with - I'll try to get them on Dropbox by the end of the day.

  • @aerlyn Feb 5

Sent the Google Doc link via SoundCloud! Let me know what you think 😀

  • @aerlyn Feb 4

Hey, I'm back, and I've got a few possible lyrics ready for collab, if you want me to email them or link a Google Doc?

    Let me know!

  • @zecoop  Feb 4

Sounds like we have the same weather... I am 100% a SUMMER person, so that is why FAWM is perfect for me. Stay inside the studio and only have to go out for work.

  • @zecoop  Feb 4

Exactly... You hit it right on the head. I somehow managed to write a pleasing sounding song that sounds all reverent, when in my head I really wanted to call it "I *@%!$# Hate Snow". 😮

    Thanks for listening...

  • @zecoop  Feb 3

Thanks for checking out my surf tune! Much appreciated, as always! 😀

  • @engebretsen  Feb 2

Thx for comments on "Simple Choice." Trying to make more headphone mixes. Hehe.

  • @dunwich  Feb 2

Boy, I know your band and I know of Panzerpappa. Any chance you know Anthony Garone (Make Weird Music)? RIO is a small world, I guess!

Also yeah big fan of Von Zamla, specifically their 80s record Familjepricksor (under the name Zamla Mammas Manna). Lovely stuff!

  • @metalfoot  Jan 31

Euphonium was probably a better sound for the part anyway! Have a great FAWM and I look forward to hearing what you come up with!

  • @owl  Jan 31

Happy FAWMing to you this year!

  • @aerlyn Jan 31

Hey, I remember you from last FAWM. Cool that we got paired up for the random collab. Just to get this out of the way, do you have a policy in regards to collaboration, copyright, etc.? Or is FAWM just for fun, and everything we each write belongs to us?

I'm looking forward to collabing with you, and FAWM starts tomorrow!

  • @arthurrossi Jan 30

Hey! Thanks so much for your that kind words! It would be an honor to me if we maintained the tradition... 😀

  • @metalfoot  Jan 29

I am really sorry I still haven't gotten that trombone part to you. I need to practice and get it done. Ugh.

  • @kovbleu  Jan 24

Hello!! I hope you have an awesome FAWM this year!! Oh, and thank you so much for checking those out! You are so nice. 😀

  • @atitlan Jan 23

Thanks for reminding me about Rewire. I played with it a bit in the past - I'm just a bit wary of resource usage when having both Reason and Studio One running. May have to give it a go again. My current PC is quite a bit more capable than the last time I tried it.

  • @vomvorton  Jan 20

Hiya! Looking forward to hearing more from you and your awesome studio.

  • @standup  Jan 20

Hello again, I'll be keeping an ear out for your songs.

  • @andygetch  Jan 19

Hey Mt. Melodie, lets do this!

  • @zecoop  Jan 2018

Glad to see you back, and I would love to do a collaboration with you again. Really looking forward to hearing your musical magic again. 😀

  • @guatecoop  Jan 2018

I looked into it and you did get a good deal. Does it come with any plugins, or do you have to buy them all?

  • @guatecoop  Jan 2018

I've never heard of that DAW, but that's not too surprising. I'm definitely up for some collaboration with you again. That sounds great!

  • @guatecoop  Jan 2018

Yeah, you do have a great sound. You use ableton, right? Or, is it logic....hmmm...
I'm looking forward to this year. You? I hope that you are doing well. I've enjoyed our FAWM friendship, for sure.

  • @scottlake  Jan 2018

    Maybe collaborate again this year?
