Hey, I've been super busy this last week and I am so sorry I haven't managed to finish the demo yet. I hopefully, hopefully will get it done this weekend.
  •  Tobermory 5 days ago
Ha! Not as good as last year, but I'll get em finished eventually. Congratulations on finishing by the way, I never manage to go over the 14 cos I'm too lazy!
  •  heavyhedonist 6 days ago
don't bug out-- that donation idea isn't going anywhere. i think it's unfortunate that it was ever brought up, but it's not representative of FAWM thought generally. You are a natural Fawmer! And we need all the pagans we can get here, too!
  • Thanks for commenting on my song. Congrats on a successful FAWM. I'm gradually going through everyone on my watchlist, which you're now on by the way! smile
  •  Adam Hill 2 weeks ago
Congrats on finishing! The skirmish was my 14th too. Will we be seeing you at the FOP?
  • Psy-T 2 weeks ago
Preferebly before the 27th, Joce; I've got plans for the last song which are waiting till the 28th. tongue
  •  Errol 3 weeks ago
Oh, bummer, I'm thinking we're deciding his place because it's COOL! Why can't you come? I'll drive yoU!
  • Psy-T 3 weeks ago
    Lyrics done too, now.
  • Psy-T 3 weeks ago
Hey Joce, I've got some music written for a collab if you're still interested, failed to come up with lyrics so far though.
I'll drop by the chat a few times tonight hoping to catch you.
  •  kermy 3 weeks ago
crazy slow computer - didn't know it posted...
  •  kermy 3 weeks ago
thanks so much for your comment on "piece of me"! many times i still wonder what i'm doing...but i guess when i'm inspired it's not so bad! wish i had more time to crank more out....you're doing great! k
  •  Bruce H. McCosar 3 weeks ago
Thanks for checking out "Strange Lights in the Sky" -- trick is, of course there are no aliens. I mean, they travel all the way here from Frogstar World B just to abduct Jethro and Billy Bob? I'd hope any advanced civilization would at least have something like video games, and thereby a better and more effective way to waste their time wink
  •  barbara 3 weeks ago
thanks for your encouraging feedback-- i'm honored to be on your list of future downloads!
  • Sean_T_Wright 3 weeks ago
    thanks for the cool comment.
  • Margins 3 weeks ago
Hey, thanks for the song title idea, I think I'm going to go with Lion and Queen
Also, just wanted to say, even though it's been said several times already, you do have a very great voice and that song "Rachel" is one of my faves I have heard so far during FAWM
  •  Debs 3 weeks ago
Awesome big_smile Monty is TOTALLY awesome. There really ought to be something that you can download for free - are you just using straight HTML? FAWMily Day was....rather productive and also very, very....twisted. big_smile
  •  Debs 3 weeks ago
Joc! I made and maintain my website with Wordpress, and that was a plugin that I could install but it wouldn't work on a non-Wordpress site. sad I'm afraid I don't know how you would get one on a normal website but I'm sure that Errol or G Slade would!
  • oilsdragon 4 weeks ago
Thanks! It's from a NaNo write-in in 2008. Debs is sitting next to me in the wider shot smile Wish I could remember who took the photo!
  • oilsdragon 4 weeks ago
Okay. Gimme a day or two, and I'll get back to you with something?
  • oilsdragon 4 weeks ago
Sounds great! Do you have a preference for what kind of song? I've got some quasi-serious lyrics I've been tossing around, but I'm thinking of posting them to the forums for someone else to record (don't think I really want to sing them)... Shall I try for something fun? Any ideas?
  • oilsdragon 4 weeks ago
I can't really do backing tracks of any kind... last year my songs were all acapella, accompanied by me clapping/other noises, or had tracks written by collaborators. Lyrics and vocals, though, I can do!

Can I fire off some lyrics to you, or would you prefer if I sing the lyrics and you just create accompaniment? Or another possibility?
  •  Errol 4 weeks ago
That's because you think about boys too much.

Come up with a chord progression, and we'll take it from there. big_smile
  •  kristian 4 weeks ago
Thanks for the feedback! I just read "Homicidal Cats" and almost fell over laughing... its so true! I know a few cats; all of them evil smile
  •  Adam Hill 4 weeks ago
Jocelyn! How you feeling? You coming this weekend?
  • oilsdragon 1 month ago
    Ooooh! Awesome! I'm so excited!!!
  •  The Vinyl Flies 1 month ago
I have a song in the works that would need some lovely vocals. Would you (Or you two?) be up for something?
  •  Mal 1 month ago
    Guitar pop it is. smile
  •  Mal 1 month ago
Cool, let's do it. Genre of your choice. smile
  •  Mal 1 month ago
Re-listening to what I've got posted so far, and Angel's Hand is really cool! Would love to another with you. smile
  • Roxanne Barrett 1 month ago
Sounds good. I suppose I'll start thinking of lyrics for folk-y duets. tongue
  • Roxanne Barrett 1 month ago
That would be really awesome! Got any preferences about the kind of song? So far I've gone in the Lady Gaga and Lucy Wainwright Roche direction.
  • Roxanne Barrett 1 month ago
Sweet! I really like the songs you've done so far. smile

So how do you want to go about this? I'm mainly a lyricist and singer, but I can do rhythm guitar and bass too.
  •  Phil Norman 1 month ago
Thanks for the kindness, Jocelyn, and thanks for listening.

The chords couldn't be simpler: G Am C again and again and again and again
  • Emma 1 month ago
    Cool, great. smile
  • Ren (hyenaboy) 1 month ago
    They're still in my head. ;_;
  •  G Slade 1 month ago
So did you get that little brother out of the way? lol smile
  • negasi 1 month ago
So I just want to say, we should collaborate. (Not because I am super good at musics, just cause I want too tongue).
  •  Errol 1 month ago
We could write a song where you and I argue. big_smile
  •  Errol 1 month ago
Okeydoke. I'll write us a duet. You have anything in mind for theme?
  •  Debs 1 month ago
big_smile Jocelyn, I record in Garageband into a basic dynamic mic running through an M-Audio Fasttrack preamp. Pretty much same as Errol's set-up.

...and my secret is to work with super talented collaborators that make you look good big_smile
  •  Errol 1 month ago
    Of course!
  •  Mal 1 month ago
Something slightly dark completely works for me. If you'd like, send me what you have so far, and we can bounce ideas around.
  •  Mal 1 month ago
Aces! I'm looking forward to hearing what you do with it. smile
  •  devin 1 month ago
Just listening to "Rachel" now through the jukebox. Great writing, and I really like your voice!

    And "woot" to Ontario smile
  • captainquirk 1 month ago
Oh, I just realized who you are. I know you as your other name only, that's why I didn't recognize you with your superhero alter ego.

Anyways, yes, I will totally colab with you.
  •  Mal 1 month ago
    Will do!
  •  Mal 1 month ago
Cool. I'll get on it. smile
