Hey. I'm sorry, I didn't get time after all. But if you ever want some music to your lyrics, just drop me a message and I'll see what I can do. smile
  • sahisi 3 months ago
hey. my computer crashed and I haven't been able to record that song. I also don't have time this month to record anymore songs like I thought I would. I'm sorry about this.
  • sondresae 3 months ago
Hi Steve! I would love to compose some music to one of your lyrics - But you'd have to wait a bit, 'cause I need to catch up (I've only done 3 songs so far).
  • trekstein 3 months ago
Thanks Tim (@timfatchen). Let me know if there's anything you feel could work with.

Hi STeve. @soundburst prodded me too. I don't normally look at lyrics only this early in FAWM (other than long-time collaborators) because usually I'm not yet devoid enough of my own. And this is why I think lyrics-only people get the short end of the comment queue. I've had a look at a couple and printed out for later thinking, and I'll poke in again as the month rolls on, because what I've seen so far impresses and starts ideas rolling, always a good sign. (And I'm personally not good at writing personal lyrics, having a tendency to the operatic or self-deprecation or smartarse bitter satire and cruelty--a plague on all your houses sort of thing).

give me the weekend to work on that song and I'll try and get it on monday.

Congratulations on completing the challenge so quickly!!

I'm afraid I'm going to have to give you a speeding ticket. Let me see your license to live, and hand over your registration for that fountain pen.
  •  orinoco 3 months ago
Sorry, hadn't realised you were new (that makes your speed doubly impressive). Unfortunately as it's a personal challenge you don't actually win anything though, other than the respect of your peers smile
  •  max 3 months ago
    Congrats!
  •  orinoco 3 months ago
    Congratulations on the win!
  • sonofadiplomat 3 months ago
    well done!

If you've written all of that in the last 24 hours, I'm the Queen of Sheba. wink

Hello there. I am hearing a pop song with the chorus you posted on my soundboard. With the limitations on my time, I can only afford to work on complete lyrics. If you can manage a couple of verses then I'll give it a go and see what I can come up with,

Welcome! It's good to see someone listing George Harrison as an influence.
  •  downburst 3 months ago
Yeah, we connected on linkedin, and I recommended FAWM to you. A good deed, I hope. smile
  •  downburst 3 months ago
I just realized I know you! We exchanged some email back in December-ish--you sent me some lyrics, whereupon I got busy and forgot. Sorry about that! Glad to see you made it here--I hope it's fruitful for you.
  •  downburst 3 months ago
I wouldn't worry about deleting the thread! Good to see you're using your soundboard. I think you'll find it a lot more useful in the long run.

(Did you really write 13 lyrics *today*?)

Just stopped by to say Welcome to FAWM!
  •  thetau 4 months ago
    HI!
My handle here at FAWM is Thetau

Do you have some samples of your lyrics maybe a website or something on the net I can checkout? Just some samples. You could email if need be.

I am a song writer mainly Melody and Arrangements. I also write Lyrics, but it's my weak point. I spend too much time on the music. I'm looking for a lyricist.

You'll probably want to hear some of my Materials, so I'll give you my website where you can stream a few MP3s as samples of my work.

Well, Trestein, I've only collaborated on one song-writing effort in my life. I wrote the music, and someone else (from the UK wink ) put the lyrics to it for me. But I'm always happy to give it a go. Ping me when you've got something, and I'll take a stab at putting some music to it if I can.
