2018 will be my 11th FAWM.
Until yesterday I didn't think I was going to do this. But I'm drawn to it again with perhaps a different approach. I had this idea of putting together a record of really stripped down songs. Not that my songs aren't pretty stripped down anyway, but when I look back at my tunes it's the ones that are the most basic, at least in production/presentation, that appeal to me. I even thought about revisiting some old tunes the way country acts used to do. Seeing if new versions of them would fit alongside the batch of brand new ones simmering in my head.
I have my basic equipment set up. And some brand new rules I'm going to try to adhere to so I don't drive myself nuts like I usually do with this. Whether this approach nets an EP worth of songs or an LP I don't know. Maybe just a single.
But I'll give it a shot.
Thank you Todd for the kind words!
Thanks for your comment on waterhole 😀
Hey Todd! Nice to hear from you and to see, hear, you doing FAWM again. Always grateful for you introducing me to it, 8 years already for me, wow! Thanks for the inspiring comments on my song, always, especially on the stuff that goes over the comfort level of strangeness. I hope things are good in Oakland, I gotta get out there to visit!
hey Todd! how goes it? hope to hear some of that sweet deep Norem sound this year. how is life out west?
