FAWM #6
Updated 3/1
This is the shortest album I’ve done for FAWM at just 30 minutes. It could definitely be listened to in one sitting. When writing I kept thinking of the sprawling nature of double albums and thought mine might end up like that. If so, it would be among the shortest of double albums. You’d be flipping the thing constantly.
Most of these songs were written on an electric and were recorded immediately after I finished writing them. Some are rock (“She’s Come Undone,” “Allergy,” “I Am Coffee”), a few are more stripped down acoustic (“Whether Weather,” “Paper Lottery,” “Hard Times”) and there’s even a little bit of country (“The Walking Song”). But mostly there’s a whole lot of songs that fall somewhere in between.
I really enjoyed my collaborations (“Lonesome People On Drugs” and “Snow and Ice). Both were great experiences that resulted in songs that would never have happened with me alone.
