Bio

Hi there everyone. Usually this is the part where I introduce myself, but I've gone by so many names on so many different websites, I don't really know what to say. So you can call me by my username, or TJD, or J.P., or Jecca. Whichever is easiest for you.

I'm a sixteen year old high school senior prepping for college in the fall. I hope to major in creative writing in order to aid my *other* aspiration, which is being a novelist. In the mean time, I play guitar and sing with a couple of bands. One of those bands is a three-piece operation called Wickwire. That's the band that plays my FAWM and 50/90 songs.

This year, in light of all of my school work and what not, I'm going back to basics: one-take, single instrument, raw songs. My goal is to have a demo for every song though, so hopefully I'll still get some feedback.

You can check out my band on our myspace (http://www.myspace.com/wickwiremusic), our facebook, (http://www.facebook.com/wickwiremusic), our youtube, (http://www.youtube.com/wickwiremusic [noticing a pattern here?]). And then my blog, at http://www.reviewsfromthenotebook.blogspot.com.

Anyway, I love all sorts of music, and I'm usually up for a basic collab (one of us does music, the other does lyrics), so feel free to message me. big_smile

TJD, just checking in. Are you going to do your interpretation of Eleanor? If so, let me know. I'm hoping you do, because I was looking forward to hearing it.
  •  Debs 1 month ago
    Hi TJD!

I spoke to B0ney who asked me to move her further down on the list. So guess what? It's morphing time! Change the song 51%, whatever your interpretation of that is, and tag it "morphingsong2". Add Everett as collaborator on it, as well.

Thanks for your kind comments on SMFP. I am finding that not engaging the family is less of an option this go round, but it seems to be working out ok so far.
  • Chris Adams 1 month ago
I have absolutely no problem with that. I just put down the lyrics the way I wrote and visualized (audio-ized?) them in my head. Feel free to change it to whatever suits you.

But I take that to mean that you are planning on recording it as a collab, right? If so, lemme know and I'll add you as collaborator on the song pronto, and then you can put your demo/revised lyrics up when you finish them.

    I covered your song: http://fawm.org/songs/2639/

I'm really interested in doing a collaboration with you! Hit me up if you are, too.

Wow!.....what can I say when everything is oh so right? The vocals; superb, lyrics; awesome, choice of chords and chord progressions; fabulous. This is a big hit. Thanks for sharing. smile
  • mtangent 1 month ago
Thanks for the welcome! Well I was debating whether or not to do this, and I wrote both of those today.
  • Chris Adams 1 month ago
Feel free to do whichever one you want to. If you do Eleanor, someone else mentioned that they might do it as well, but I have no problem with two different people doing it. It should be interesting to see the different interpretations and performances.
  •  Helen 1 month ago
Yay! Just saw you were a Firefly fan smile
  • Chris Adams 1 month ago
Hey, I have some lyrics up, so if you wanna take a look and see if there's anything you want to record, go right ahead.
  •  Bruce H. McCosar 1 month ago
Hey, thanks for the comment on "Beware the Age of the Machine" --

Odd you should mention it, but my wife and I are total Firefly fans. I have a coffee mug that says "This must be what going mad feels like." I have a t-shirt that says "I want to go to the crappy town where I'm a hero." And I have a Jayne hat wink
  •  Corinne Curcio 1 month ago

  • Chris Adams 1 month ago
Awesome. Let me know if you want me to write lyrics with a theme or idea in mind, if you want to hammer lyrics out (by themselves or around a tune) together, or if you just want me to write some and then have you put a tune to it.
  • Chris Adams 1 month ago
Would you like to do a collaboration with me this FAWM? I can do lyrics if you can do instruments and record.
