Bio

About a year ago, I did a gig with a friend near Midland, MI, where I learned the songs on the drive up; afterward, we went to another friend's house to crash. It was the first time I really actually hung out with these cats, and it was a good time of hanging out with a couple down to earth musicians. They told to me about this crazy songwriting frenzy, and I thought I'd give it a try; then I got hooked.

I signed up for last year's FAWM and for the 50/90 with a simple goal: to write a song I liked. But, my OCD got the best of me.

This year, I finally decided that perfection is not the way to experience creativity. My goal is to not focus on whether what I write is good or bad or if I like it or not; I only intend to experience the entirety of creating from the soul in each song I write, letting nothing hold me back.

That being said, you may not want to listen to these because I've purposely decided that it's okay if it is crap. ; )

Bonnie - I can't get the dropbox link to work for me? I think you may have used the wrong link... you may want to think about using a site like soundcloud to host streaming audio.

Thanks for the lovely compliments on Every Summertime and Old Hat (demos coming this weekend). I've not been as invested in FAWM this year as in the past couple of year (have an Irish show and a pop show to get ready for this month) but some things are starting to appear. Thanks! But I don't think I'll be able to put any demos up anytime soon, cuz I don't have any way to record them...no garage band, only Audacity.
