Bio

singer-songwriter from Delaware, Delaware Division of the Arts fellow, WSTW Hometown Heroes and ASCAP Plus winner, piano teacher at Sanford School. Finally figured out how to upload songs here. I think this is my 5th FAWM. This year I already had premature FAWMilation in anticipation. Hopefully I'll complete the job. We do get that extra day, don't we??

Ok...so I didn't make 14. No big deal. 10 is still a good number. February is a hard month for me. Rehearsing TWO musicals and my son is in another one, so lots o' running. I enjoyed collaborating this year; a first for me.

Your piano playing reminds me of Paul my accompanist from FSU. He was the most amazing pianist. Could play anything. We collaborated on my first 8 or so songs. I wrote the lyrics and the melody and he wrote the piano. I miss him!

Hahaha! I didn't exactly arrive and never go back. I arrived, fell in love, left, came back a few times, then decided to come back indefinitely in 2008.

I guess it's the result of something that had been bugging me my whole life, which I could never figure out. This place feels like home.

I'm glad.
I mentioned the sound volume issue because sometimes one will record, render, upload but not listen back to the final render and something stupid happened during rendering that made the mp3 sound nothing like we wanted it to.
Please let me know if you do another recording and I'll come back and take another listen with pleasure. I really like the song as I said.

I see you were able to post a photo. Cool. I love the one of you over the keyboard that you sent me the link for. Your previous upload problem appears to be the photo size, but if you download your photo from your ReverbNation website (right click then 'save image as') it is only 70 kb and plenty small to re-upload to FAWM.

Thanks for the feedback on Missing You. I think you're right about the intro being a bit long - my plan now is to cut everything before the acoustic guitar and the main drums come in, so there's not all tha tmuch before the lyric comes in. Thank you also for the Crowded House comparison!

Hey! Now it works! Thank you for this great song that you made out of these lyrics! Intense music, giving the right "dark" touch to it which it needs! Wonderful, "full" vocal, a really great music and perfect performance, I like it a lot! When I wrote these lyrics I have never thought it would be a lady that would sing it once, very well done, I am really proud of the result!!

I work across the street from where the NASDAQ computer center was. We were first told that we could leave if we wanted to, then a while later we were told to go home. There was a SWAT team set up around the building across the street, traffic was one lane only leaving the road, not allowing any cars in, with an armed soldier with machine gun at the ready standing at the intersection. I live very close to there and it was surreal. Several friends and family work for the company that makes Black Hawk helicopters and there were all kinds fo things going on. Living so close to NYC, almost everyone knew someone who lost someone. Many activities were being staged in the greater area to help support the efforts at Ground Zero. With you in Delaware, I'm sure it was surreal, too. Thanks for sharing.

@the3queens - the links to your songs aren't working for me. In dropbox, the files need to be in the "public" folder --- once they are in the public folder you can right click on them, choose "Dropbox", then choose "copy public link" and paste that link into FAWM.
