FAWM NUMBER 5, 2018!!

I've missed you FAWM, let's make some music!!

Please check out my WEBSITE tammyjann.com to catch up or to see my photos, poems and recent songs!

.......................................................................

FAWM NUMBER 1 2014
When I was young, I loved to write and sing, but was discouraged by others, so I stopped. I stayed in choirs singing for 30 years, but felt invisible, so I stopped. My son died at the age of 7 from Leukemia and I changed and needed an outlet. I began to write songs and sing. I learned from the Muses Muse and JPF and collaborations, I have worked on 144 songs in five years and learned to play instruments in the past four years, guitar, autoharp, ukulele, mandolin, I have an electric guitar...still working on learning that......This year I added a BANJOLELE that I purchased from Wistah and a Djembe! I'm writing to stay sane and feed my heart and soul and I am enjoying the ride!

FAWM NUMBER 2 2015
My first time was so FAB, I am back for my second run. Open to collabs and so very happy that it is time for FAWM....
(thanks to my Guitar teacher for loaning me a Baritone Uke for the month of FEB...)

FAWM NUMBER 3 2016
Thanks to my FAB FAWM and 50/90 Family, I have the songs and courage to do open mics! In June I did my first open mic and then went to FAWMSTOCK!! So awesome and performed with the most amazing FAWM talents! I am thrilled to be back and am open to collabs as always!!

FAWM Number 4 2017
SAVE ME from this retched negative worldy energy! I am here as a refugee from the outside and hope to find peace and sanity in the arms of my loving FAWMily and our musical creations!

Since I last communed with you dear friends, I have performed two hours of guitar music (no vocal) for the Homeless Veteran's Stand Down and showed my art for the very first time. I was doing lots of open mics, but hit the wall of massive depression at the end of October and stopped doing music all together.

I am here to find my mojo, my muse and my drive. I feel my NEED to be here is as large as my LOVE to be here. Please help me FAWM...you are my only hope!!!
2/5/17 UPDATE!! My son gifted me with the disease that is going around his school! Please be patient while I convalesce!

Hi Tam. Thanks for listening to my song "After you bleed", your words warmed my heart. I don't know how I missed you this year, you are on my watchlist... I have just listened to another fairytale and it's lovely. Love your voice it sounds so genuine. Do you have a song you want specific comment on? Let me know when you are around. Have a lovely non-fawm time until then. Cheers!

  • @quork  Apr 5

Thanks for your comment on "Mrs. Franklin"!

  • @audrey  Apr 5

Thanks for your kind words on my songs "Blueberry Island" and "Hate". I really appreciate it. Have a great year, and hope to see you next FAWM.

  • @ryako  Apr 4

Sorry for the very late reply, but I've been overseas and was gone for almost a month. During that time, I was insanely busy with family-oriented stuff. Now that I'm home, I can finally type this out and say thank you. Thank you for listening and for your comments. They really made my day, especially when things were not going well and I almost felt like I was losing my mind. I appreciate your positive comments and that you actually went on this kind of emotional ride. Thanks for being so cool.

  • @bking  Mar 29

Thanks for your kind words Tammy. It seems your fairy tale songs may have sparked a little inspiration for 50/90. Made a few notes and hope I can remember it until then.

  • @sunnymae  Mar 28

    Hey Tams!
I'm so glad River iWinter mellowed you out and warmed your spirit. Listen as needed...and repeat ๐Ÿ˜ฎ) xoxosunnymae

  • @wacha  Mar 26

Thank you for your kind words on "Quilted Heart" I was pleasantly surprised by the direction that one ended up going in.

  • @zecoop  Mar 17

I do that all the time! Seriously! There are tons of my own songs I can't play because I can't remember what I did. So sad.

  • @barbara  Mar 17

Happy Birthday, Tammy!! Have a fantastic celebration and keep making those wishes come true!
You are so kind and creative and talented! Thank you for also making me feel so special. I'm a little envious of those who will get to hear you sing in person at the FOP. Cheers and a toast, to you! xoxo

  • @barbara  Mar 17

Hi!!! I'm glad you're still here! I'm slowly getting in my listens. Work uses up so much of my time, but I am very happy to be fully employed again. I'm also so astonished by your growth and development as a musician! It's amazing what enthusiasm and dedication can bring about!

  • @jibbidy34  Mar 8

WHAโ€ฆ? You are just too cool for school Quadracool Champion!! You took the time to write 400 comments (400!!) and listen to all those songs (ears doinโ€™ ok there?)! Thanks for your almighty contribution to our community. You have 400 thank youโ€™s from your fellow FAWMers and from me! Excellent work and keep bustingโ€™ those zongs!!

  • @musicbyzac Mar 7

I have to say thank you for all the comments on my soundboard and songs (Wasn't a Dream, 6-String Dream, & Thinking of You). This experience has been awesome! I haven't had a lot of time to go out and check out too many other songs, but now that the writing is over I'm hoping to. Starting with yours! lol Thanks again!

  • @kovbleu  Mar 6

Aw, thank you for your kind comments on my Tarot card song "Travelers." I'm so glad it resonated with you. I had a lot of fun creating that one. The electronica is really not that complex on that one - it's an Akai Miniak min-synth keyboard. I found a great sound on there and just had to time everything out. I'm used to singing along with guitar or bass, but not while playing keys so that was the hardest challenge for me on that song for sure!

  • @hummingbear Mar 6

Thanks for reading three (!) of my lyrics and de-zonging them. I'm glad you liked "One Bad Ombre," some people don't care for puns. I appreciate your comments!

  • @rwc Mar 5

Thank you for listening to my "Instrumental" and "Time" and for your encouraging comments. Thanks also for explaining about the "fuc" tag - I've seen on a few songs and been puzzled by what it meant!

  • @wen  Mar 5

Thanks for the lovely comments! Re: Here's To Us, I actually do have an idea of what it sounds like- It''s just a matter of if I can translate that to chords ๐Ÿ˜

  • @benjo  Mar 5

    Hey tams

Oh thank you so much for your
lovely words, always means so much from you, this is actually a condition that i have it's an inner ear thing, and what i describe is
how it is when it strikes, it's bad
i just added the (she) part
    to give it the songability
Thank you tams, i think i'm writting a bit to dark for you at the mo but hoping we get together
    again on something soon

    Take care my distant friend

    Tony

  • @jwhanberry  Mar 4

I did all 5 superskirmishes. 7 songs each.

  • @barbara  Mar 2

Appreciating the multiple comments coming from you, sweet sister of silence. I'll be dropping in bit by bit to listen to yours; they are very rich and best taken like the chapters of a book that need savoring. Hope you're having a lovely day!

  • @ryako  Mar 2

LOL, you are so funny! Shit, I'm just glad that you're interested. Honestly, I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in hearing a bunch of songs telling a story about two AIs. Thanks for listening and for the comments. They were all really encouraging and I totally appreciate it.

  • @the3queens  Mar 2

I AM smiling at YOU Tammy! We must do a FAWMSTOCK this year!

  • @aprilm  Mar 2

Aw, thanks my friend. That is high praise coming from someone who I admire so much.

  • @musicsongwriter Mar 1

Thank you Tammy, you are very kind.
    Nadia

  • @kovbleu  Mar 1

Oh gosh! Thank you! I know, same here. But now we can take a deep breath (and maybe a quick nap) and can still listen and comment away! I look forward to getting to finally listen to the rest of your songs from this year too. Thanks so much!

  • @metalfoot  Feb 28

It was so much fun writing that lyric to zecoop's great track. So glad you liked that line about dark clouds breaking into blue-- I seem to recall rewriting it a couple times before it ended up as I recorded it. Man that I was. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • @mmmmarcus  Feb 27

Thank you so much for the warm words on the collab track with @benjo I'm very glad you liked my version of the song! And thank you for the congrats on FAWM completion. I've had a crazy and great month, and I'll sure be back next year.

    Congrats on getting to 14!

  • @larry Feb 27

Hi Tammy. I tried to FAWM, but I need to catch up on bills, relearn old songs after not being able to play for six months, and generally enjoy life. Concentrating most on the enjoy life part. See you at 50/90.

  • @aprilm  Feb 26

Honey, we will always have the chimes!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @ukufriday  Feb 26

...and I did. You have the gift of making people "feel" something when they listen to your music, the harmonies, the little added touches of unnameable instrumentation in the background that add that something extra. You are ear-candy.

  • @ukufriday  Feb 26

Thank you for your kind words on 'She's the Kind'. It's a baritone. I'll have a listen to you now.

  • @oneslowtyper  Feb 23

haha... thanks Tammy, for leaving the funniest and most educational comment on my soundboard!

  • @cindyrella  Feb 21

Thanks for looking at Sweetie and your support!

Hi Tammy. Thank you for your kind words on A Pinhole Through the Veil. Appreciate it a lot.

Thanks for your lovely comment on my waltz!

  • @unpronounceable  Feb 11

LOL, awww your comment on "Maple Bacon Donut". Bless you. That quality of keyboard (like the meditation type of music) was so key to me, that's what took the most time out of the whole process ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @kristi  Feb 11

Hey Tammy! Oh, that's fine on My Heart Break. No biggee. Yes, by all means go ahead and do what you do! ๐Ÿ˜€ Thank you!

  • @marvsmooth  Feb 10

    Hi Tammy ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @valeriecox  Feb 9

Hi Tammy. Thanks for the commnet. I've recently become a real believer in the power of positive thinking. Ever since I decided that anything I want can be mine if I give it enough time and energy, then I realized even things that seem like setbacks are just stepping stones to my goal. AKA the power of the law of attraction and least effort.

  • @spinhead  Feb 9

I'm glad you liked "Yesterday's Moon." I'm banging away, trying for a song a day, and I'm not always sure what's working.

  • @kristi  Feb 9

Okay on My Heart Break, Tammy! I hope you find that you can remember what came to you! Ha Sometimes they come out of nowhere like that! Happy playing! ๐Ÿ˜€ (& if you finish, always post it as new)

  • @kathym  Feb 9

THAT is crazy - I JUST finished leaving a comment on your song and went back to mine for a minute, where you had been reading my lyrics at the same time. What a riot!

  • @arthurrossi Feb 9

Tammy! Thank you so much for your wonderful words on "Just dreaming"... Nadia said she would like to have a go at it as well, but of course, I do not mind us having two versions, on the contrary, I would look very forward if you gave it a try... ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @scubed  Feb 8

Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my collab with @cindyrella! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @valeriecox  Feb 8

Thanks for your kind words about my cat song. How did you know a squirrel would make it in? You must have made me do it!

You'll have to tell me about the autoharp some time. I've been wondering if it's something I should try. Good luck with the banjo-thingee!

  • @cindyrella  Feb 2

Sure Tammy! I'd love for you to do this.

  • @musicsongwriter Feb 1
