2/5/17 UPDATE!! My son gifted me with the disease that is going around his school! Please be patient while I convalesce!

Whoever the ANGEL BEING is that donated rock hands to me...you have no idea how you boosted my heart and spirits! THANK YOU!!

SAVE ME from this retched negative worldy energy! I am here as a refugee from the outside and hope to find peace and sanity in the arms of my loving FAWMily and our musical creations!

Since I last communed with you dear friends, I have performed two hours of guitar music (no vocal) for the Homeless Veteran's Stand Down and showed my art for the very first time. I was doing lots of open mics, but hit the wall of massive depression at the end of October and stopped doing music all together.

I am here to find my mojo, my muse and my drive. I feel my NEED to be here is as large as my LOVE to be here. Please help me FAWM...you are my only hope!!!

Please check out my WEBSITE tammyjann.com to catch up or to see my photos, poems and recent songs!

When I was young, I loved to write and sing, but was discouraged by others, so I stopped. I stayed in choirs singing for 30 years, but felt invisible, so I stopped. My son died at the age of 7 from Leukemia and I changed and needed an outlet. I began to write songs and sing. I learned from the Muses Muse and JPF and collaborations, I have worked on 144 songs in five years and learned to play instruments in the past four years, guitar, autoharp, ukulele, mandolin, I have an electric guitar...still working on learning that......This year I added a BANJOLELE that I purchased from Wistah and a Djembe! I'm writing to stay sane and feed my heart and soul and I am enjoying the ride!

My first time was so FAB, I am back for my second run. Open to collabs and so very happy that it is time for FAWM....
(thanks to my Guitar teacher for loaning me a Baritone Uke for the month of FEB...)

Thanks to my FAB FAWM and 50/90 Family, I have the songs and courage to do open mics! In June I did my first open mic and then went to FAWMSTOCK!! So awesome and performed with the most amazing FAWM talents! I am thrilled to be back and am open to collabs as always!!

Hi there! Thanks so much for listening to "Mountain Blues," and for harmonizing along. I wish I could have heard you! Thanks for the kind comments. Cheers.

  • @wacha Apr 6

Thank you very much for your kind words on "Mandy Lane". It has occurred to me that the liner notes kind of spoil the movie for those who might be interest in it. I am glad the song does connect with people who aren't into the horror genre.

  • @musicsongwriter Apr 5

Thank you Tammy for your beautiful comments and support.

  • @chandra83  Apr 5

Thanks for your feedback on "Whispers" πŸ˜€

  • @metalfoot  Apr 5

Eccentric, I must admit, is one of my favourite tracks from FAWM. It's just so ... me. Right down to the goofy pseudo-operatic vocals at the end. Thanks for your kind words!

  • @zecoop  Apr 3

Hey... thanks for the nice comment and for taking the time to listen. I was very happy I could write a song for Alex and thrilled with what he did with it. (as I am sure his wife was!!!) πŸ˜€

  • @barbara  Apr 1

Hello there, dear one! Thank you for the comment and beautiful greeting within it. Hugs to you, too, for the storms as well as the inevitable joys -- and may there be many joys on their way!

  • @metalfoot  Apr 1

Thanks so much for popping by to listen and for your lovely comments! I appreciate this a lot. Hope you're feeling much better than you did during February!

  • @zecoop  Mar 22

Hey there! Thanks for listening... Yes, Stacy is so wonderful and so talented. We are actually working on "Whatever" at band practice tonight for Treading Bleu, so I am excited! And... Awake 3am is (hopefully) getting a lyric/vocal by Holly @lanasolyluna who sang on another one of my songs. I'm excited for that too. I need to catch up on yours!! πŸ˜€

  • @tageule Mar 5

Thank you so much for your kind comments! I'm terribily late on commenting but just want you to know I just love all of your songs (that I've heard so far - but I have no doubt about the others πŸ˜€ ).

  • @cindyrella  Mar 3

Yay! I love for your to do my songs!

  • @barbara  Feb 27

Girl, you are so wrong about the download button thing...
If you'd only known all the times I wished it was there, but figured you were protecting your assets, rightfully, because you want to offer them on an album. Yes, you heard me right. I didn't want to be presumptuous to ask to "have" them. This is kind of like the Gift of the Magi, idnit? LOL! It's completely up to you, of course, but...
If all that is keeping you from allowing them to be downloadable is thinking no one wants them, I invite you to lift the gates. Please?

  • @mishykatz  Feb 27

    demo up for Marilyn's Magic πŸ˜€ http://fawm.org/songs/65701/

  • @crisp1  Feb 26

Thanks, Tammy, for the kind words about Slip Away and Trail of Tears! If you get a chance, listen to In the Quiet and All the Dark Distance (collabs). Cheers!

  • @aprilm Feb 26

Good catch on the word "and" in Your Love is Like Chocolate. Something did feel off to me but couldn't put my finger on it. You nailed it. Thanks for your comments and we share yet another thing in common - a love of chocolate!

  • @cindyrella  Feb 26

Thanks Tammy for your comment on I want you near. I was listening to an old Bossa Nova song on youtube and it had the extra two lines (although a totally different rhyme scheme) so I went with it. πŸ˜€

  • @valeriecox  Feb 22

Tams! Hi. I'm desperately behind on commenting. Sorry you've been under the weather. Looks like you're almost half way though!

  • @oddbod  Feb 20

There's always next year or possibly even 50/90. Take care

  • @paulchurchfield Feb 20

Hi Tammy! I joined with the intention fo trying to keep up. But as you can see, I am just a lurker 😝 Next year I will do better. I am really impressed with all of the great writers and artists on here. It's an inspiration! Also, I've noticed that in a few cases, the quickly written stuff was better (in some ways) than the writer's normal stuff. I really liked your submissions. You are doing awesome Tammy!!

  • @clioem  Feb 20

    Thank you kindly Tammy!

  • @oddbod  Feb 20

Hi Tammy, I thought I’d just let you know that I will mostly be out of action Thursday through to Sunday. I’m in Paris until Saturday then at friends on Sunday and back to work Monday/Tuesday. So not much music time left (other than perhaps listening). Obviously I’d like to include your vocals if possible but time will be tight, so do you think you can let me know if you think it’s possible? If not, then that’s no problem. But it means I can finish it off and post it up before Thursday. Cheers

  • @ferry0123 Feb 20

Thank you Tammy, I'm pleased you liked what you listened to πŸ˜€

  • @dragondreams  Feb 20

Tammy! I am stunned and humbled beyond measure at the amount of time and energy you spent on my twiddlings! 😍
Thank you so much, my lovely friend. It makes it all worthwhile. 😊

  • @monty  Feb 20

Thanks so much for taking the time to listen and comment on New World Sympathy and Fake News Blues. I hope there's a FAWMstock this year and we get to connect again IRL.

  • @kahlo2013  Feb 20

Aww... that song brought tears to my eyes as well ---- so damn good in so many ways. Love Ya!

  • @kathym  Feb 20

<3 margaret's lament ... thank you for the support, as always!

  • @kathym  Feb 20

Good LORD you are racking up the comments on your songs! I think they need a century club for total comments!

  • @kathym  Feb 20

<3 blinded by the moon - another sister spirit! Thanks, Tammy! and thank you for the kind comments.

  • @mccannrs Feb 20

Thanks for all the great comments! Happy Fawming!

  • @cindyrella  Feb 20

Thanks for all your comments and on my songs-my writing is about out of hand! I did change two of the perfects-that is better (I think). Thanks

  • @ladyred Feb 19

    Thanks for your feedback! <3

  • @thebschip Feb 18

Thanks for visiting, listening, and commenting! I hope you keep writing more here, so we can all enjoy your gifts!

  • @haim  Feb 18

Hi, Thanks for your kind comment on my song "Things I can lose".. it's lovely.

  • @scubed  Feb 17

Hi, Tammy! Hope you are feeling better on all levels. Sorry to be so long in thanking you for your comment on "Lady of the Harbor" - I'm on the road with a busy schedule and glitchy hotel wifi. Hope to catch up on my listening in the next couple of days - look forward to hearing your songs soon!

  • @kingwoodkowboy  Feb 16

Howdy tamsnumber4. Thank you for reviewing "As Long As Four Winds Blow". As long as we all keep writing, who knows where we'll go.

  • @barbara  Feb 15

Thank you for that comment on 'In the Wild.' I've been trying to (un)learn some core stuff lately. You seemed to take that in fully and at face-value and reflect it back in a way that made me pause to go re-read my lyric. I'm still a work-in-progress, but that song is probably the idealized version of where I want to end up. Sweet sister friend, thank you for your faith in me.

  • @unpronounceable Feb 15

<3 Love you/thank you so much for your comment!

  • @kristi  Feb 15

Hi Tammy. Thanks so much for your thoughts on my lyric, Everything Connects. I'll have to take a closer look once FAWM is over. I appreciate your time in helping!

  • @kc5 Feb 14

Thanks for you kind comments on my song. πŸ˜€

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 14

Oh! Sorry to hear you've been ill. 😞 Hope you feel better soon. Thanks for listening to 'Lie Down'. I'm glad it was successful in some way in your eyes, was terrified of being preachy and obnoxious.

  • @wacha Feb 13

Thank you for your feedback on "Dust Off Your Riveters".

  • @marthie Feb 13

Thank you for your feedback on "What is one kiss"

  • @yam655  Feb 9

Congratulations on hitting Century Club! πŸ˜€

  • @famouspatrick  Feb 9

Thanks for the kind words on my "Dance With You" skirmish song. It IS sad, but man, it wanted to be sad from the moment I put pen to paper. All I could think of was, "Sad Waltz," in the tradition of "The Tennessee Waltz."

  • @jepist45 Feb 9

haha - your so kind - thank you very much for your fine ears on my first born FAWM .

  • @acromie Feb 9

Thanks for the comment on You're In My Dreams. I agree on the volume, it was late, and I was anxious to get something out. I'll adjust that tonight and add in some reverb. Thanks again and I'm glad you liked it.

  • @julesbf  Feb 9

Thanks for your comment on save me. I am acutely aware of the fine line I am treading. My pieces are aimed at improving awareness and understanding in the general populace I but I am extremely sensitive to the fact that people with personal experience of the subject will hear them too. So it is an artistic right rope I am walking to bring the subject to public attention and doing sensitively without causing harm, which is obviously the last thing I would want. I hope I am managing to stay on that tightrope

  • @dragondreams  Feb 8

    Aww. Thanks again, Tammy. 😊
    Hope you're on the mend?

  • @jbp123 Feb 8

Hey! Thanks for the David Allred recommendation. I will have a listen and get back to you. I really like Peter Broderick (in fact his violin solo https://youtu.be/iJ6O2HGxdJ0 inspired my piece, Petals Falling), and I see that they've recently worked together! Small world!

  • @pcob1993  Feb 8

Wow Tammy, you made my day wit your comment. Thank you so much. I'm in Europe right now because my Mom is dying so my songs and writing are getting kinda dark. But hey, go with the flow, right? So lovely of you to get in touch .. mind yourself, you're precious.

  • @wobbiewobbit  Feb 8

    thank you πŸ˜€

  • @ustaknow Feb 8

Hey, thanks for the song feedback comment, it's much appreciated.

It's interesting, -- "for group sing"...
-- I hadn't thought about it, but, that helped contextualize it, which for some reason, helps, "me". πŸ˜€ Always speak your mind, for me, indeed! Thanks.

  • @larry Feb 8

Hi Tammy. Good to see you. I saw that about the Texas FOP. Only 90 miles from my house. (Right up the road, in Texas miles.)

  • @aprilm Feb 8

Thanks Tammy! I really appreciate your feedback and that you take the time to listen to my music! πŸ˜€

  • @aprilm Feb 8

    You are awesome! πŸ˜€

  • @cindyrella  Feb 8

Thanks for your sweet comment on my Attraction song!

  • @jorh Feb 7

Thank you for your kind comments - glad you enjoyed my lyrics πŸ˜€

  • @kc5 Feb 7

Thanks for the feedback, Tammy. It feels a little risky until you get confirmation from others that it works. I appreciate your comments.

  • @oddbod  Feb 6

    Okay that's cool.

  • @barbara  Feb 6

So sorry you caught the bug. Maybe your convalescence will bring you some kind of gift.
    Feel better soon!!! 🌻

  • @oddbod  Feb 6

Hey, sorry to hear you're not well, what cursed luck to happen during FAWM!
if you want to forgo the harmony thing, I assure you it's absolutely no problem at all. I don't want to add to you burdens. get well soon

  • @jessicagraae  Feb 6

Hi Tammy! Thanks for all the inspiration. You're having a great FAWM so far!

  • @cynthiawolff  Feb 5

    so very very impressive...
who ever told you you can't sing is a massive dickhead ...

  • @oddbod  Feb 4

    mail! 🀳

  • @oddbod  Feb 4

Hey Tammy. no problem, I'll send you a link to your email to listen.
If you feel you can do it, what I'll need is a dry (no fx) track of just your vocals so I can mix it in - I thought I better let you know this to check that your recording set up can do this.
Absolute no problem if you want to say no (I totally understand) but I'm sure your vocal talent is easily good enough.

  • @barbara  Feb 4

Peeking back over to make sure you didn't post with me unawares. How's the mojo hunt? Come on in soon, the water's warm! <3

  • @kevinemmrich  Feb 4

hey tams, nothing beat negativity like activity!! Let me know when you a post a tune. I know it will be super great.

Hope you bounce back and are out there again soon, Tammy. The world needs your talent and sincerity. Looking forward to the first song when it comes.

  • @oddbod  Feb 3

Hey, how do feel about doing some harmony vocals?
I can understand totally if you're too busy but if you think you can squeeze it in let me know

  • @timfatchen  Feb 3

Hup hup Tammy! Write something. Anything! (Cliches are helping me right now!)

  • @the3queens Feb 3

    Hey Tammy! Happy FAWMing!

Thank you for your comment, Tammy! I'm really not sad, of course I miss my husband, but I dramatized things for the song πŸ˜‰
I was disappointed to not see anything up from you yet. I'll be back!

  • @mishykatz  Feb 1
