Influences: I listen to a lot of music, but I'm largely motivated by anxiety and compulsion.
Professional Instagram model/music instructor.
Steffan, I sent you a recording of I Will Miss You When You Go this evening. Not my original demo, but a nice little studio recording done a few years back. Enjoy!
You okay? Text me at 231-335-7437.
Steffan, I’ll look for it. Where can I send it as an attached file?
A big part of it I guess is picking a suitable kit and mixing it in a way that works. If it's just a simple track you're after, that will get you 90 percent of the way there.
I've mentioned in a few threads my secret weapon is the Humanisator plugin, just setting the timing randomiser to about 23ms. http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?...
I'd hope the current kit I'm using - a mix of Drumforge and SSD - would sound good, since it's largely based on a template I'm using for my next batch of 'produced' recordings!
But rock/grunge isn't a subtle genre, so it's not hard to get it sounding decent with practise. Folk, etc - much harder.
Not long? Guess you get used to doing it so know what works and what doesn't. If you're talking about the weird sort of flips the beat does, it makes it easier when you're also programming the bass, so you can tweak the structure very carefully without having to redo parts all the damn time 😀
Welcome back, Steffan!
Hey Steffan! By the way, my new record, Hallelujah Heartbreak, is similar in style to this song (Something That's Not Nothing). 😀 It's all guy/guitar. Simple and heartfelt.
And I still wanna collab if you're still down.
If we're leveraging my strengths, I either pass you a bunch of rhtyhm tracks to write to, or I take a lyric set of yours and adapt it. If we're leveraging yours, where would we start?
I would really, truly, like to team up on something with you this month.
And remember, I'm always rooting for ya! Yippee hooray all the way, bro.
Thank you for the kind comment. Glad to see you again too.
Re drums : It's a custom Hydrogen kit I made from Taiko one-shots I found online a few years ago. I think the guy recorded them in a Taiko school.
Tomorrow's the big day, I hope you'll have a great FAWM.
Good to see you back mate. Bring it on
Hello!! Great to see you back. 😀 Yay for FAWM!!
Bon hello, mon frère
And hello to you, fine lad. I've brought my old DAW out of mothballs after years in storage, perhaps we could do a collab this year again.
Hey Dr Steffers it's fairly shambolic here too though you take the biscuit when it comes to heads of state.
Always a pleasure to watch and hear everything you do.
And there you are...🙂. I am sooo happy!!
I would LOVE to collab, fyi. Like, I lay down some drums. You lay down that sexy funky low end that you do. Vocals. Harmonies. Yadda yadda bing bang boom!
Hello there old chap. How's things in New Orleans.
Best of luck to you during FAWM 2018!
Hey buddy, hope you're in this year x
