"In truth, the old man didn't have a whole lot to do with it other than start the ball rolling". - Now that is just silly talk. There wouldn't have been a song at all without your wonderful lyrics! A couple of rearranged syllables and a couple of extra verses from your eldest grandson. It was a big team effort. ❤️ You are the best, dad!

  • @aneil Mar 2

Demo for song in my brain is up

  • @aneil Mar 1

Sorry I failed to complete colab if they allow I'll upload otherwise pop me an email alexneilmunro@gmail.com

  • @cowex  Mar 1

    Wheee!! Congrats on double-FAWMing it!

  • @wacha  Feb 26

I'm glad you are happy with my treatment of "New Kid".

  • @metalfoot  Feb 25

The progressive dementia of my grandmother's last few years was really hard on the family, for sure. I have many good memories of my grandma. I'll miss her.

  • @wacha  Feb 24

I just uploaded the demo for New Kid, hope you like it.

  • @metalfoot  Feb 23

A true pleasure to work with you as well. 😀 Your boys are splendid musicians and I've enjoyed working with John-- I need to work with Rob at some point, but the time this year is dwindling rapidly!

  • @wacha  Feb 23

I have chords written up for "New Kid", it's been a crazy week, I haven't been able to get anything recorded. It's the first thing I'll be recording this weekend.

  • @gordon  Feb 23

It has been a real pleasure for me too. I hope you've had a good time during this year's FAWM and hope you'll also be back next year. Keep up the good work with the lyrics.

  • @sapient  Feb 23

It's been a real pleasure to work with your lyrics. Heartfelt, melancholic, joyful, reflective... You've touched such a range of emotions!
I love that you've also worked with Gordon. We live two doors apart on the same street in Amsterdam! 😁

  • @sapient  Feb 22

    Done!
Thanks for letting me play with Divided World - the lyrics have an excellent rhythm to them!

  • @cynthiawolff  Feb 21

Oh mr coops write a song about the pink panties and your sister's horn..

We have a week left so time to star5 and kick some serious butt..
    Cu a5 the finish line...

  • @sjbatavia  Feb 21

I posted the audio for The Immigrant. It's not quite what I was hoping for, but I've been juggling a lot of commitments in the past weeks.

  • @aneil Feb 21

Song in your brain I’ll have a go but the ear worn might just come to the party

  • @nancyrost  Feb 18

I joined the AARP a few years ago myself. I will take a crack at that song sooner or later!

  • @metalfoot  Feb 17

I'm glad to hear you liked the song John and I did!

  • @marijequerida Feb 16

Woah that's wonderful. Great to hear such news, wishing you and your wife all the best!

  • @wacha  Feb 16

I'm looking forward to working on "New Kid", I got myself into the weeds a bit with all the collaborations and challenges I took on but I'll be able to tackle this over the weekend.

  • @gordon  Feb 15

Well, I had a go sir. I kept it quite minimal due to the subject matter and as I said before I really like those lyrics and hope you enjoy what I've done.

  • @gordon  Feb 15

Hi there, just got your message. I'll try to take a look when I get back from work and see if I can do something.

  • @gordon  Feb 12

Hello again. I have done something with the lyrics. In view of the optimistic second half, I went for something more upbeat. Hope you like it, but let me know if not.

  • @wacha  Feb 12

Thank you for your very kind words on "Adrift".

  • @gordon  Feb 11

Hi there! Hope you don't mind me having a go at the lyrics for Company Man but I just couldn't help myself. As Sapient says, you write lyrics which are appropriate for songs, rather than ones which are too long. Hope you're having a good FAWM and keep up the good work!

  • @skylermf Feb 11

Thanks for your nice note on Nothing Implied! As for collaboration, I’m really mostly trying to work on my lyricism this FAWM, so I’m trying to write all my own lyrics. Thanks so much for offering though.
Have a great rest of FAWM!

  • @wacha  Feb 11

I would love to give "New Kid" a try. Thanks!

  • @sapient  Feb 11

    You're writing such great lyrics!
Super little bite-sized stories, and the right kind of length to actually be put to music. I see a few lyricists here who seem to get a bit carried away. I look at the words, and no matter how good they are, there's no way they could be sung. Well, maybe as the libretto for an entire opera... 😉

  • @metalfoot  Feb 9

Hope you like what I did with The Miracle!

  • @metalfoot  Feb 8

Hopefully I can do something for you within the next couple days 😀

  • @metalfoot  Feb 5

I'm glad that worked for you. I enjoyed making a song out of those lyrics!

  • @sjbatavia  Feb 5

Hey, I hope the collaboration I did works for you. I had fun with it!

  • @metalfoot  Feb 5

    I hope you'll like what I've done. 😀

  • @sjbatavia  Feb 4

I just posted the song. It appears on your feed twice. Not sure how to handle that.

  • @sjbatavia  Feb 4

I'd like to collaborate on Sing Me a Country Song!

  • @metalfoot  Feb 4

It is my honour to work with you! I'm a friend of your son's through this FAWM thing. I love this musical community.

  • @zecoop  Jan 18

Already an active writer for 2018!! I definitely hope to bring some to life! 😀
