Artist Bio

Influences:   Everything or at least a lot.

I play basses and acoustic guitars and sometimes sing.
Here are the results of my first FAWM experiences

25.02.2018 I added two tunes as private. One is
an acoustic tune that is used as a start track for the acoustic instrumental corpse ( http://fawm.org/forums/topic/8248/). The second is my contribution to the Kaiju Exquisite Corpse (http://fawm.org/forums/topic/7791/).
I will make this available when FAWM is over or the complete tracks are ready.

08.03.2018 Since the corpses got posted on the last days of FAWM I made the tunes public.
I try to find the time to work on my Placeholder tune - an assembly of leftovers. In the meantime I surf through songs, tunes and lyrics and enjoy the vast amount of creativity.

P.S. I’m happy to receive constructive criticism on my songs.

sph ,thank you for listening and commenting. The polar exploration museum sounds fascinating, especially with one of Franklin’s recently discovered ships. I enjoyed getting in character when writing and demoing the song.

Oh my goodness Dupletarion Warrior you are AWESOME!! You took the time to write 200 comments and listen to all those songs! Thanks for your hefty contribution to our community. You have 200 thank you’s from your fellow FAWMers and from me! Excellent work and keep busting’ those zongs!!

"Thanks for directing me to http://fawm.org/songs/80332/". You're welcome. Glad to get into peoples' radar. I was captivated by learning a piece of history I knew nothing about and how the songwriter turned it into such a many-layered and entertaining song. I'll keep posting gems I come upon to that thread.

Thanks for your comment! It may be a while before I rework Sorry Was Your Poison, because it's my favourite of my FAWM 2018 songs - I really haven't done much writing up until the last year or so, and I've really never had a finished song that I liked enough to think about how to arrange it in exactly the way I'd like until, well, most of the songs I wrote this FAWM! So I'm going to practice on my other songs first so that I do Sorry Was Your Poison justice. I'll do my best to find you when I do! 😀

Thanks for your comment and encouragement! I think Ticket 2 is the most important that gets overlooked, and I certainly should've used it bit more in that song. But now I'm starting to see how it works besides cutting intros or outros. I should have pre-recorded everything before actually recording it. Since this was a collab, and a fun one at that, I'm not going to worry much about it. I'm still new to songwriting, even though I have beaten the 50/90 challenge once (which I written 57 lyrics and uploaded 45 demos), I think I still have lot to go to writing good songs. I don't think my songwriting partner knows about Matt Blick's blog but he did a good job with lyrics before I hacked them and mutated them a bit to fit the song. 😀

Great work on the kaiju. Thanks for stitching!

Hahaha, I've not really been that extra busy, but just transferred some bits from my personal four-track recordings during FAWM, as well as the four-track challenge pieces I've been involved with others as collaborations - I love the four-track challenges so much that I set up a group on Facebook for it!

I'll be back later my friend 😀

Hey man, thanks for listening! I had intended on using an electric guitar for that track, but yeah, somehow the 'folkier' element from the acoustic felt like a nice way to set the track apart a little.

Lovely to hear that you also are a "Japan" band fan. I usually do ambient stuff with an edge, so we better keep in contact after fawm...

  • @engebretsen  Feb 18

Hi. Nice that you play bass on Windswept cloud. I would love to hear it. Try this email: tseart@gmail.com Maybe youré file is to big? Use wetransfer.com or something. Looking forward to hear!

  • @moonraccoon  Feb 13

If I'm correct to infer that you DI'd without an amp, I'm surprised and _very_ impressed. I don't usually find DI guitars to sound pleasing.

  • @jibbidy34  Feb 12

  • @standup  Feb 10

I watched the first half of the video, enough to understand the concept. When he played something like a Bb chord with a B in the bass it sounded far better than I would have thought, because the voicing makes it more like a B maj7 chord, those chords had a rich sound. Like he said, I think, soundtrack music.

  • @marvsmooth  Feb 10
