Influences: I guess I have a sort of Sara Berailles sound, although I listen to a lot of musicians that play in a different style than I do. Recently I've been really into St. Vincent.
I'm 16 and I feel like I haven't written a good song since the summer. I'd like to change that.

Thank you for your kind words on "Damaged", the lyrics I were given were wonderfully sad. I am glad I was able to pay them the respect they deserved.
Thank you so much for your kind comment. I stanmd humbled by your kindness,
Hey, I'm going to start working on an instrumental track for Shirlington (if you're still up for it). Any ideas or stuff for genre or style or whatever? I don't want to mess up your song 😀
I appreciate you reading Coat of Dust and taking the time to make a nice comment about it!
Thanks for your kind review of Round and Round.
Thx for your comment, i was brought up with reggae but the furst time i have written with it!
Yeah, all my songs this year are improvised. I used to just improvise my first draft, but then I started practicing improvising for a full three minutes. Some of my "actually-an-album" postings go so far as having song titles improvised from the earlier song.
My standard process:
1. Start recording.
2. Start singing
3. Find out what I'm singing about.
Thanks for the listen. 😀
write a 17 second song about the earth exploding.
Hi! Thanks for giving my songs, In The Park, Herding Kittens, Bodies and Bucks, and It's Spam a listen, and taking the time to leave your thoughts. I'm so glad you enjoyed them.
Thank you for your kind words regarding My Treasure.
Thank you so much for responding right away to the shooting song, and for your assurance that the tone is alright. I sincerely hope your cousin is OK, at least relative to what could have been. It’s hard to know what to do, and shouting doesn’t seem to help. Everybody is a potential victim and it doesn’t matter what side of the second amendment you’re on when the bullets start flying. I was trying to bring out that human dimension, and how quickly things can change for anyone. You’re living it right now. Thank you again, Skyler. All best wishes for FAWM success!
Thanks Skyler, I appreciate the feedback on Stick.
Thx for your comments. I really enjoyed doing this one.

Congratulations Centurion Soldier! You wrote 100 comments for your fellow FAWMers!! You made this place even better. You took your time to listen to other people's songs and you have 100 thank you's from all of them and from me! Here’s your badge. Excellent work and keep busting’ those zongs!!
Thank you very much for the comment on the collab track with Colleen! Glad you liked it!
Have you heard of the 60 / 30 / 10 rule? (I heard about it first from YouTuber Jonathan Mann.) It states that regardless of how many songs you make, 60% will be mediocre, 30% will be bad, and 10% will be awesome. If these numbers can't change, then the only way to write more awesome songs is to make more songs period.
I like skirmishes because they help introduce you to a lot of songs without encouraging you to make a commitment to any of them. You'll naturally commit to the songs you love and over time refine them and make them better, but all those ho-hum songs and outright bad songs can be left alone.
I hope you enjoy FAWM!
Thank you so much for your kind words on my lyric are we forgotten men

Thanks for your comments on 'Split The Seal'. Appreciated.
Hi Sky. Thank you for the great comment on my song "Wishing Too Much", I added even more stuff to make the song less boring, I'd love if you'll check out my profile to hear the new version and tell me what you think about the improved one because I might take this song a bit further after fawm. How is your progress going? have any struggles to come out with the fourth song?
Hi, thanks for giving dance of the fae a listen. Those “drums” were actually me banging on the body of my acoustic guitar. 😀
Sure, just trying to help you feel more welcomed and involved here. Would love to hear more from you this fawm. Have fun!
dear @skylermf Hi. I see you commented back on your song "Never saw you coming" to all of the people, it's really nice, however, if you want to really make all of them (including me) them see the comments, you need to write it on their soundboard. That's the way usually people comment to each other. Even when someone writes on your soundboard and you wanna write back, you would do this on his soundboard, tagging people on your soundboard is not notifying the people, I'm not sure why but this is how things work around here (Just a quick review of what I said and you'll see how easy it is to get used to it). Hope you'll have a nice fawm, until now you are doing great! Don't hesitate if you have any question!
Thank you for you kind comment on I'll paint the wall blue 😀
Ok great. There's no rush so feel free to take your time with it. Also at the start or the end of the recording if you could just sing and hold a note for a few seconds. I'll use that to create harmonies and such. Thanks again for doing this 😀
Thanks for the offer to do vocals on my track. Isolated vocals would be perfect. For sending the vocals over you could upload to Soundcloud and enable downloads or you could use Dropbox. Do you write lyrics?
you can dooooooo iiiiiittttt!!!!
When I was sixteen I hadn't written ANY song!
Welcome! I really hope you have a great month of writing and make lots of new friends!
