Bio

I sometimes make some musics out of guitar and singing and other things. It usually comes out sounding a lot more serious than intended. I like words, notes, chords and beats [all in moderation]. I like beginning things and finishing them, but I struggle with the middle part.

simon. last few hours of fawm. where's that 'cello? i have been stalking you and nothing! except for your first song which is my fave of FAWM and stole my heart.i feel i have made freinds with you even if only in our limited context, and i would be really interested in hearing what you do next.

No problem - let me know. - Even if it's late march!

Hi, thanks for the encouragement on the Whistle stuff, it's been... a difficult birth. I think it's going to be one of those things where I find out what style it leans to after it's over - 7 songs, I think.

Hey Simon - would you fancy colloborating? I'd happily have a go at a middle bit for you!

Howdy Simon. With all your 'influences', I'm sure that "Under The Moon Over Texas" will be an easy roundup. Thanks pard.

It IS an Almost Famous quote, isn't it? I'm using a years-old phone at the moment because my current one broke, and I found it saved in the "notes" with no explanation - should have known it was too good for me to have written myself!

    Welcome back to fawm!

Just listened to your song "Halloween"...it's gorgeous. You kind of remind me of John Vanderslice...which, incidentally, I love John Vanderslice. I wish you luck with this FAWM. I know you said it would be success if you finished more than zero but I'm watchlisting you because it sounds like your more than zero is something I want to hear.
  •  mattblick 3 months ago
I definitely will NOT be finished in time for FAWM, I'm really relying on favours and free studio time so I have to take both when I can get them. Which puts me in a dilemma for FAWM. I may just use it to write with my pupils and do some throwaway songs to keep my hand in. (BTW one of last years throwaway songs is the best track on my new EP!)

Hey I really hope you do more than zero songs. More than zero incorporates many of my favourite numbers

Wheat! I don't see that one very often. I love them.

Re: Halloween -- I liked the noise on the track..it was actually pretty much on beat..i couldn't tell if that was by design or not
