Hey Simeon, this one is very nice! I know you are getting tired of me saying I like your voice so this time I'll just say I really liked the way you went high on "I am on my own". That is something a little different and it is very nice. Your guitar is solid throughout and keeps the song moving right along nicely. Overall this is a sad song but I think it is hopeful too. You tell this story very well. Also, really glad you "made it this far"!!

Simeon, I have come to realize I can count on you to tackle the big subjects! :) While I'm busy writing about my drunken family and a vampire you are covering the big issues of the day! This is a very nice treatment of this topic too! I just love this "Grab your basketball / We're going to North Korea". Puts just the right amount of "Wait! WTF?" in the chorus! Be sure and lemme know when you set this to music as I'll wanna hear it fer sure!

allow me to bust this zong Simeon...just a moment... OK, I could not help but to "hear" your golden voice singing this one so I already have a Simeon tune in mind! Love the simplicity of the title. At first I thought it was a cautionary tale of global warming but then I got a feeling it might even be bigger than that...more of a tale of how things change and then change back and then change again. Ahh, what do I know! :) The lyrics are really good. I just love these lines, Into the valley Into the sea Into the arms Three times "Into" followed by..."valley"...then "sea"...then "arms"! Very nice! And also, as a nice bonus, I feel like I learned a little about climate and glaciers and stuff! :) Another nice song Simeon!!!

Thanks for taking on this tough topic, Simeon! You tell it plainly and clearly, and it's onviously something you feel strongly about. Not sure where you live, but it's an increasing problem here in the US. With the privatization of many prisons, someone is making money off of public funds just keep even innocent folks locked up. They are happy to see increasing numbers -- and most of the inmates are not white. I have a feeling the more you play this the more it will fall into place. I love the sound of the piano, too. Keep up the good work!

Beautiful, very thoughtful lyrics... I particularly like the lines "Do you know what it's like living in the past I know what it's like leaving it all behind I know what it's like making every day a second chance" since - despite all the darkness - they still convey a gleam of hope... The music suits this atmosphere wonderfully...
