Bio

My father played the guitar and sang, so there was always music in the house. He believed I could do anything I put my mind to, so I try not to disappoint him. I never learned to play an instrument (still hope to), but enjoyed singing in choirs and choruses all through school. I happily followed my nose through life, eventually tripping over my musical soulmate through a chance listing on Classmates.com. He was a childhood friend, who now writes beautiful music, but not lyrics. I began listening to his music, found some words, and we have been collaborating on music for about a year now.

I'm still pretty new at this, so I am hoping to learn lots from all of you more experienced writers and musicians. I more than welcome any and all honest feedback - pussy-footin' isn't going to get me anywhere that I want to go. So thank you in advance to any of you generously willing to do that.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments on Lullaby for Lily. Amazing that you had a bear cub to care for. Maeflower has a melody in mind and has offered to do a demo, so soon there may be a complete lullaby in place for your next cubsitting assignment. smile
  •  Donna 3 weeks ago
Thanks for your comments on "The Rats", Sheila. wink I agree, they make lovely pets, and are extremely intelligent. Dawkins addresses this intelligence as well. It's a pity that over the centuries their propensity to carry disease (when in large numbers and the circumstances are ripe) has cancelled out their more endearing qualities in the human collective consciousness. wink As you say, better a rat than a cockroach if it comes to the crunch (no pun intended). tongue

You CAN make it to 14. remember-- demos in march get heard; lots of people do that. Besides, i want to see all your songs...
Nice site (myspace) BTW. The wallpaper is hilarious. Tell your hubby from me that he is a total dish. You are, if ya don't mind my saying, a very attractive couple-- & the new ''princess" is adorable.

I work at the Material Recovery Facility in Columbia, Missouri located on the edge of the property that holds the city landfill. We have a creek and woods nearby and the wildlife like to inhabit our facility. With conveyor belts running outside it's easy for them to get inside. We see the same skunk a couple times a week, usually in the morning.

Hi Shelia I haven't demoed "Frame My Heart" Yet. I'll do the music later this week some time. I just tweaked the lyrics, I know it has a negative message, maybe I need to re-write it. It's about a woman that was married to one of my best friends. Thanks Bobby

Breathless, from last FAWM, was lovely. you have a beautiful and haunting voice, and the softness of your style really worked in that song. i listened further, too, on that Ning page. Fine stuff.
DO sing out more sometimes, though-- a voice that pretty has no need to be tentative!
