Hi Jay, thank you for commenting our Chimney Song. Your question is really interesting but also hard to answer, since one of us authored the Bulgarian and the other the English version. To find the answer, we might have to make a survey with a number of persons who speak both English and Bulgarian ๐Ÿ˜€ At the very least, as the author of the Bulgarian version, I find the English version/translation really strong and largely catching the original feeling. And we awe this version the appreciation of the song in fawm. It is really as if @leepat and me were one author here and we like both versions very much.

Hey Jay, thanks for the comments and particularly for listening to Chimney Song. I'd say the translation gives just an inkling of the punch the original packs for us, but that may be just because we're so emotionally tied to that part of our lives... In any case, thanks for taking the time!

Thanks - I really appreciated you taking the time to listen and comment on Empathy... Holly did an amazing job. I am not a really big fan of overtly obvious political songs. I'm a BIG fan of what Holly did and loved putting that track together. ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks Jamie, I have a strange mind.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my songs. I really appreciate your having a listen to them. I'm very impressed with your songs. You've got some of my favourites this FAWM, and I plan to listen to all of yours before I'm done this year.

  • @hamiltonpoolhall  Feb 24

Thanks! And I debated about the triangle, so I appreciate the vote of confidence ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @zxcvbnm  Feb 23

Brilliant, you made a "silk purse from a sow's ear"
The music certainly suits the lyrics and the story and the changes enhanced the story too.

  • @sayda Feb 21

Thanks for the comment! You know, I didn't even realize I made that set up! haha. Now I'll just go pretending that was on purpose ๐Ÿ˜€

Hi Jamie, I found a link to Hamilton and the HIghland clearances and have written some rough verses based on it.

Do you have dropbox or is there another way of sending them? I

  • @zxcvbnm  Feb 20

After comparing our guitar skills I think that might be best. Is there any particular theme or style you would like, humour, protest, love, or whatever? I'll have a stab at a first draft tonight.

  • @zxcvbnm  Feb 20

Hi Jamie, I see you have drawn the short straw and been paired with me in the random collab. I'll have listen to some of your stuff first, but in my case lyrics are less weak than the rest of my "music."

  • @boyatheart  Feb 2017

Thanks for listening and commenting on my song. I really appreciate the feedback. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @wickedmessenger1  Feb 2017

Thanks for commenting on my song "That Sounds Like Bullshit." I am also very happy with the lines "I've seen better master plans / From a toddler with a crayon." In fact, I think those might be the best lines I have ever come up with. I am so glad someone else noticed.

  • @yam655  Feb 2017

Congratulations on hitting Century Club! ๐Ÿ˜€

    Thank-you. <3

  • @billgcaldwell  Feb 2017

Thanks for the comments on the old cowboy song. It was fun doing it in Garage Band (which I am trying to learn how to use).

  • @squeakmouse73 Feb 2017

Just saying hi and thank you for your encouragement.

  • @pumpkinhead Feb 2017

Thanks for your comment. That room is the old heater room in the apartement building where I live. There's great atmosphere down there which came out quite nice with the song all due to my friend who shot and cut the vid. Happy fawming man! ยง:โ€ข)~

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 2017

    Thanks for visiting Snow Moon!

  • @metalfoot  Feb 2017

Re: Profound; You're not the first person to tell me that my lower register sounds a bit like Crash Test Dummies! I take that as a compliment (always liked that band)

  • @tjeff  Feb 2017

Thanks for the comments on my song - much appreciated. All the best!

  • @readerwriterpoet Feb 2017

Thank you so much for your kind comment on Ripples and Ponds; it means a lot. <3 I'm so sorry I'm just now getting back to you, but life happens! I look forward to listening to your songs, which I will get to today (hopefully).

  • @fearlessflight2014  Feb 2017

Thanks for taking the time to listen to 'What if you died today?' I'm chuffed you like it. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @poptarthero Feb 2017

Thanks for (somehow) listening to my track! I was really just wanting to try something wild so I let it roar, not caring about melodies or anything. Also I listened to Trout Mask Replica yesterday so I felt inspired lyrically ha ha. It has a meaning but I don't like to play it straight with my songs.

  • @tamsnumber4  Feb 2017

Thanks for visiting "Nightmare of My Dreams", I appreciate your time and comments!

  • @meriamber  Feb 2017

You're absolutely welcome!! It was a happy coincidence then ๐Ÿ˜

I love how you think! Kazoos cowbells and slide whistles would be perfect!

  • @pipewrench67  Feb 2017

Thanks for the comment on In the ether, there are indeed some recorders (sampled) laying in the mix.

  • @writeandwrong  Feb 2017

Thank you for your kind words on "Fireball Whisky." It was a fun write hehe ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • @viktiglark  Feb 2017

Thanks for the kind words on 'nothing can hurt me and i feel nothing'. And good ears! Some of the tones are created by the filters of the synth right on the verge of feeding back ๐Ÿ˜

  • @aprilm Feb 2017

Haha YES! The beauty of trying to do a one-take recording in my living room! My cat wanted to sing along I guess! Thanks for listening (from me and Minou the Cat) ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @writeandwrong  Jan 2017
