Second year FAWMer.

I've not been able to maintain my presence here as much as I planned. (So if you've left me comments, I do thank you).

My Dad: ~ He, is my hero; my strength, my inspiration. ~

A lesson I once learned, was no matter how small you feel your job is - if it helps someone else; it becomes something so much bigger, and so much more important. Something to hold onto.
The first set of lyrics I ever let leave my hands, grew and blossomed into something I never thought possible - a song - that would never have been, had I not shared my words.
Once, and only once; Did I ever refer to myself as "Just" a lyricist.

I've a question for you as a lyricist. Do you think songs should be easily written or should you wrestle with them? I find I feel a much stronger connection with the songs I wrestle with than I do with the ones that come easily. the easy ones seem simpler and less involved. Maybe simple is better but I sometimes find less of myself in them and they mean less to me. I'd love to hear your thoughts if you have time. Thanks for the songs.
