Love the poetic imagery in your lyrics, especially how the first two lines set the stage by conveying such a deep sense of loss...so true, so powerful. I don't know amy lyrics have captured this sense of loss as well as you do. The music and vocals prove to be a perfect match with your lyrics! Very well done! Glad I am in a happy long term relationship right now, as if I had just been through a break-up I have no doubt that I would play this over and over sobbing into my pillow until my eyes were swollen shut.

After my friend 1bking tipped me off today to the existence of Cyber Loss Day, I googled and followed the links and was surprised to learn that you were the force behind it, if I have that right? I then read much of your blog and want to say that I wish you all the support you need right now. I came over here because I was remembering your beautiful Spanish song and wanted to hear it again, but I guess perhaps that was from 50/90? (I'll go look there too.) Then I found 'Darkly Dreaming'. I was inspired to give it some music, because it's an incredibly honest and well-written lyric, and in the hopes it would help you feel heard and supported I'd like to share it with you. Some real good lines here, like "Hang on to hope when you can't see the reason". It goes very well with the strumming tempo. I like the change from the verse to the chorus also.

Beautiful collaboration, guys! I like the title very much... Wonderful imagery in the lines "Time has blurred the detail now But it remains painfully clear", I like this slight level of abstraction, and yet full of emotions... Billy did an excellent job in regarding the music... The tune is gorgeous!

I'm a big fan of really good first lines that grab the listener/reader and this does it. I like that it's a bit abstract but the heartbreak still comes through very clearly through the imagery in particular. I wonder about the verse rhythms matching each other, but that could or would be worked out in a demo even if minor syllabic adjustments had to be made. I'd like to hear it, are you planning to demo? :)

Heya shady-casey- Thank you for the comment on Partly Claudia. The guitar is a small-body Gibson acoustic (a 1938, L-00), my wife's grandfather's, he bought it new. Btw...are you familiar with Van Morrison's country album, Pay The Devil? Every song on it is a gem.
